Update from Bosko:

Both of Anthony's lower extremities were grafted today with sufficient donor tissue to complete everything that was in scope.

1st post-operative assessment will be made in 5 days.

Anthony does seem to have a very swollen face after this surgery. Please pray for the swelling to subside and his comfort in the meanwhile.

10,000 pilgrims go with the FSSPX to Rome

The very fact that 10,000 follow the Neo-SSPX into Rome shows the tragedy of 2012 has borne its full fruit. Once the leaders bound themselves by the Doctrinal Declaration to accept Vatican II and the New Mass as “legitimately promulgated,” everything else was only a matter of time. What we see now is not resistance but absorption.

+Archbishop Lefebvre warned us: “It will be a great illusion to think that Rome, now won over to modernist and liberal ideas, will give us the means to protect ourselves against this liberalism and modernism” (Fideliter, July–August 1989).

The illusion has become reality.  The root is compromise with a false religion. To remain in the Neo-SSPX today is to march slowly back into the Conciliar Church.

SSPX Resistance News / Re: Status of Avrillé Dominicans?

A month ago we had an Avrillé Dominican offer Holy Mass / sacraments. ...
There is a Female Dominicans convent, Contemplatives, in Avrillé (Monastère St. Joseph) that is affiliated with SSPX.
I forgot to mention the "Frères de Notre Dame du Rosaire", affiliated with neoSspx. They were formerly of Avrillé, but split. They are in the Dordogne area?

This was what I was trying to express but couldn't remember the exact terminology. :incense:

Yeah, almost forgot they have their own Mass rubrics, different from the Mass codified by St. Pope Pius V.

The Catholic Bunker / Re: Beekeeping - looking for advice, anecdotes, etc.

I had worked for 2 large beekeepers in western Canada, plus I had 30 hives. Up here there are about 5 parasites that weaken bees so that they can barely survive winter if left outdoors.  Very cold up here at times. But with bad corn pesticides, dessecation sprays etc. pretty hard to keep the population growing.
The bottom line about honey: you need excellent flower access/ locations... but keep away from neighbors. You must register with somw sort of Association, to keep diseases from spreading, American foulbrood etc.  Nobody likes a honeyhouse around...bees sting and are annoying to say the least. God created a fascinating creature! .A great hobby, hope you enjoy it!

Check with your local Cooperative Extension Service to see what publications they have and short courses your state's Land Grant University may offer. They would also know if there is a local beekeepers association or club. If it isn't over yet visit your local county fair, beekeeper groups often have an exhibit / information booth at those.

I'm staffing the Cooperative Extension Master Gardener booth at the Benton-Franklin County Fair (eastern Washington) this afternoon. The beekeepers usually have a booth in the same building that we are in, I'll see if they have resource information I can pass along.

Didn't they become allies of the SSPX again?
A month ago we had an Avrillé Dominican offer Holy Mass / sacraments. He gave a great conference on the Virtues. He said the FSSPX has a chapel  very close by ( Chapelle St. Pie X, Angers), so faithful choose either their Monastery ( Resistance, very busy! ), or FSSPX.
