I previously didn’t know about the problems surrounding +Thuc, do you know why? Because the reaction from pro-Thuc clergy is exactly like others here. Emotion. Fear tactics.
And I was afraid, intimidated into thinking I was committing grave sin just for researching and questioning.
Theology doesn’t have room for your emotion, and God is not the author of fear. Truth holds under questioning, and is neither afraid of it, nor angry at it.
So, now you're slandering the "pro-Thuc clergy" and engaging in snowflakish gaslighting. Nobody's going to "intimidate" you or tell you you're "committing grave sin just for researching and questioning". Give us a break, snowflake. That reminds me of when Father Stanich SSPX announced from the pulpit that the Resistance had a problem with them "just talking to" Rome. Riiight.
In fact, it's the Kelly-ites who will refuse the Sacraments to people who have done their research and concluded that there are no issues with the validity of their Orders, and that the CMRI are not Old Catholics just because +Schuckhardt received Holy Orders from an Old ROMAN Catholic ... whom they asked to recant (and he did). Even IF DQ Brown had not recanted, the Canonical penalty is suspension, and you're not considered to have joined the Old Catholics.
Now, there are SOME +Thuc-line bishops that are dogmatic about other matters completely unrelated to the validity of their Holy Orders. If you were to "research and question" and decide their Orders were doubtful, they would tell you that you shouldn't be going there then and migh advise you not to let the door his you on the ass on your way out.
I seriously dislike the CMRI due to other issues ... EENS, NFP, etc. ... but as far as SVs go, they're about as tolerant and moderate as they get, where they don't have any real issues with people going to "una cuм" Masses or even not being fully SV, even if they'll disagree with you and try to tell you that you're wrong. But I guess a snowflake might consider that to be "fear tactics" and "emotional intimidation".
Grow up. If you don't like their position, kick the dust off your feet and move along.
But I've had arguments with Bishop Sanborn's group about their dogmatic "una cuм", and I've had arguments with the CMRI about BoD and NFP, and their attacks on sedeprivationism ...
but there's nothing wrong with the validity of their Holy Orders, and Archbishop Thuc was neither insane nor incapable of validly conferring the Sacraments nor did he withold his intention ... and the slanderers who keep lying about these matters are in fact engaging in objectively grave behavior.
