You know him? lol curb the tism' my guy..
He's a lying slanderer, and his lies have been refuted myriad times from numerous sources, including some who were hostile toward him for theological reasons.
Father Noel Barbara, close friends with +Lefebvre, went to visit +Thuc in his little apartment, being highly skeptical, and came away certain that +Thuc was of sound mind ... even if he disageed with his theology.
There has never been a single incident reported that suggests anything remote to mental incompetence. Not one.
On the contrary, we have the testimony of many who actually knew him personally, including a good friend of mine who literally served Mass for him every day when he had been with Vezelis, and who actually had family members that he had to care for who had begun to show signs of senility. Archbishop Thuc showed absolutely no signs of it, ever ... and no one has reported a single incident even of forgetfullness.
+Thuc would converse in Latin with priests and seminarians, often correcting their bad Latin, and would often switch between different languages when the priests at his table didn't all speak the same ones, while keeping track independently of each separate conversation. He offered Mass very devoutly, and showed absolutely NO HINT of being mentally impaired.
This slanderous allegation against his "mental state" comes from those who have an agenda, ahem, like Bishop Kelly, who once said that "we can't say they're valid or people might go to them" (reported by one of The Nine), and what they do is that they accuмulate a number of imprudent incidents, such as his mistake at Palmar, and weave in a bunch of the false allegations (that have been proven false), such as that +Thuc consecrated this heretic or that ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ (in many cases he was known to have not even been in the same country where the incident allegedly took place). Then they make up the "simulation" allegation based upon their ignorance of what +Thuc was saying, where he took part in a Novus Ordo Mass, on the orders of the bishop in whose diocese he was working as an assistant pastor ... and, while he regretted it, when attacked for it by a few rabid SVs, he said that he did not truly offer the Mass because HE DID NOT RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION. That has absolutely nothing to do with "simulating" a Sacrament or witholding consent. +Thuc is referring to the Traditional notion that the Mass is not integrally complete without the Communion of the priest. Theology textbooks, the Jesuit casuistical types, often presented the scenario, just to help flush out the principles, of a priest who dropped dead after the consecration but before he could consume the Blessed Sacrament and receive Holy Communion. And the answer is that there's no Mass, and that another priest would have to come in, pick up where the former had left off and continue through the Holy Communion. That's clearly what +Thuc was saying, and this got distorted and warped into his "simulating" Sacraments.
None of the slanderers have presetned a single compelling piece of evidence to suggest even the slightest positive doubt about the validity of the Holy Orders conferred by Archbishop Thuc.
Now, Scuмmage revealed his own mind when he accused me of defending them because I myself am dependent on +Thuc-line Sacraments. That's completely false. I went to Confession to and received Holy Communion from a +Thuc-line-ordained priest exactly once during my 37+ years of being a Traditional Catholic. There's a CMRI chapel near me, but I don't go there ... don't really care for them, and don't care for CMRI because of their hostility towards EENS dogma.
But just because I don't like a certain group or their postions, that doesn't give me the right to make up lies about them or attack them just to attack them ... just to undermine them in general.
