It does not make a difference as the boomers and their ideas had a lasting influence (a negative one) on the world, as did the "Greatest Generation" which created the war that was the death of the West: World War II.

Well I'm not asking for any financial help from them all I asked was that my views on things be given the same respect as theirs, which they always love to talk about in my face.

Once more, Trad Guy, you're somewhat twisting Christ's words to suit yourself. By hating your mother or father He didn't mean it in the sense in which you use it. How are they preventing you from being His disciple? Then you can't 'hate' them.

You still haven't explained the conundrum of 'hoarding & spending money foolishly' & being prosperous, yet are being foreclosed upon. This makes no sense. I'm guessing then that they bought a McMansion & now can't afford it & are in over their heads? Doesn't really sound to me like something grandparents of their era would do, but stranger things than that have happened, I guess.

You just fall into the stupid custom of automatically giving the elderly respect just because they're old. I say this is stupid, since there are plenty of vile individuals that are old and it would be monstorous to show respect to. I base my respect on it being earned by what they believe in viewpoints.

Well perhaps being prosperous was the wrong word but I meant useless consumerism and love of money over love of nation when I meant "spending and hoarding money."
