You can't say that the excommunications are valid unless you yourself accept modernist Rome as the true church & churchmen. You contradict yourself. It seems based out of some ill will towards the sspx.
(...)
Did the Archbishop not see his "excommunication" as being invalid? He died before it was lifted, and certainly, he is not in hell.
As for the first statement above (You can't say...) and the whole post of DirigeNos, it is absolutely clear to me that
its author did not bother to watch the 4:15 minutes video clip of Fr. Girouard! Or if he watched it, he was not paying attention to the words and facial expressions.
As for the second statement above (Did the Archbishop...), let me say the following:
1- The penalty of Excommunication applies only for the living, and up to refusing catholic funerals when the person dies while still excommunicated. So that point has no business being in the argument.
2- And as for the validity of the 1988 Excommunication: The Archbishop recognized the existence of the Conciliar Church, and corrected his mistake of signing the May 5th Protocol the very next day. He therefore believed he was not excommunicated by the Catholic Church, and was punished by the Conciliar Church because of his fidelity to the Catholic Church. He knew he was not excommunicated by and from the Catholic Church.
But we could say he was not validly excommunicated by the Conciliar Church either, as he never was a part of the Conciliar Church, and never wanted to be. So, to be "expelled" from the Conciliar Church meant nothing to him, except as a badge of honor as a fighter of Modernism and Conciliarism.
3- In the video, Fr. Girouard makes clear the Conciliar Church is a separate entity from the Catholic Church, with its New Liturgy, Bible, Ritual, Indulgences, "Tradition" (Vatican II), "Saints", Rosary, and Canon Law. It is a "church", or rather a sect, that is capable of rewarding and punishing validly its members.
4- The confusion of the Neo-SSPX comes from the fact they refuse to believe in the existence of a Conciliar Church as distinct from the Catholic Church. They have embraced a study from their main theologian, Fr. Jean-Michel Gleize, that supposedly proves there is no Conciliar Church. Thus they have condemned themselves to live in make-believe and illusion, and they are in a connundrum. They live in a self contradiction and in a dilemma.
5- This is what caused Bp Feally and others to approve of the GREC (ideated in 1995, and officially functioning in 1997) and to follow its guidance towards reconciliation and "full communion". And this is at the root of the whole 2012 debacle.
6- Look at their confusion: They know the Catholic Church cannot punish them for being faithful to her and fighting for her. Yet, they see what they believe to be the Catholic Church (but which in reality is the Conciliar Church) excommunicate them. So they don't understand what is happening. They want to be good sons of what they believe to be the Catholic Church, and are shocked by how they are treated by what, in reality, is the Conciliar Church.
Until July 3rd, the Neo-SSPX was, unwittingly, a member of the Conciliar Church. They always believed it was the Catholic Church, but all the privileges they have accepted since 2012 came in reality from the Conciliar Church. So the Neo-SSPX was, and its leadership still wishes and wants to remain, a part of the Conciliar Church. Therefore, they have to accept the validity of the punishment they received from the Head of the Conciliar Church, who has power over its members.
The day the Neo-SSPX will accept the fact that Rome is being occupied by the Conciliar Church (really a sect),they will finally be free from their nightmare.
And the sign of this happening will be when they officially repudiate the GREC and all their errors and bad actions they did since, and when they will clear the reputation of +Williamson and the Resistance clergy, whom they kicked out in infamy to live "out in the cold" to fend for themselves, without any means of survival or any security. They were thrown out like dirty rags. The Neo-SSPX also has to make reparation to all the faithful they have confused, divided, torn apart. They cannot be absolved for these grave sins unless they make reparation.
Conclusion: A Syllogism :
Major: The Conciliar Church (sect), as an organization, can validly reward and punish its members.
Minors:1-But the Neo-SSPX, believing the Conciliar Church (sect) to be the Catholic Church, considers itself a member of that organization.
2-And the Neo-SSPX has accepted with gratitude, and made use of, rewards (2015, 2016, 2017) from that organization.
3-But then the Neo-SSPX has disobeyed, in a most serious matter and public manner, repeated orders from the Head of that organization to which it belongs.
Conclusion 1:Therefore, the Neo-SSPX has to accept the validity of its Excommunication by the Head of that organization, which is the Conciliar Church (sect).
Conclusion 2:Therefore, if the Neo-SSPX continues to mistake the Conciliar Church (sect) for the Catholic Church, it will do whatever it can to placate the Roman authorities, and to have the excommunications lifted, like they did in 2009. Now that they have four
young bishops, they will feel more free to continue their work of seeking a Roman reconciliation and an official recognition. They did their temper tantrum on July 1st, got spanked July 2nd, and cried July 3rd. Now they will proceed to a renewed strategy of boot-licking and butt-kissing (to use Ladislaus' expression).
Conclusion 3:They probably hope the spirit of Synodality and Ecuмenism will incline the Pope towards dialogue and clemency. In fact, now they have been declared to be a schismatic sect,
they will probably get under the jurisdiction and scope of the Dicastery for Christian Unity. Thus they may have a better chance to meet the Pope!
THEREFORE: WE STILL NEED THE RESISTANCE BISHOPS AND PRIESTS AND FAITHFUL TO CONTINUE THE GOOD FIGHT!
