    No.  Did someone say so?

Well no,  but I kind of got that impression from this and other posts. I always seem to have difficulty knowing what I should and should not feel guilty/worry about.

My job will make amusement parks, beach, waterpark etc. unavoidable this summer.

    Better find another job.

I don't want to hijack this thread,  but simply put, I have few other employment options that allow me to keep my daughter out of daycare.

Let's try to go to the heart of the problem here.

Considering place, time, company, etc., it could be matter for discussion if this kind of amusement is suitable for priests, but in all justice, I don't think the visit to this particular amusement park was during Lent, however, two things about this could be said for certain:

    1. The spirit of cool "Life on the Rock EWTN catholicism" is definitely there; and

    2. Such amusing moments were posted during Lent season by sspx.org none of the less.

But, still, the truth of the matter is: This is just the cherry of the cake... the rotten cake of neo-SSPX and Fr. Vernoy!

Here are some reasons why we could say this:

This prior has removed all the books condemning Vatican II and the New Mass out of the shelves of the Church's Library. (After parishioners and Fr. Chazal sounded the alarm he's returned them - isn't he wonderful?)

This prior, along with Fr. Leo Haynos, have literally burned (Inquisition style) books against the Jews (Fr. Fahey's) that belonged to Fr. Hopkins from St. Philomena Chapel, Miami-FL.

This prior has called Bp. Tissier's sermon in Winona/2012 of "the work of the devil" in more than one occasion.

This prior is known for having tried to set up a meeting with the local Diocesan Bishop (Bp. Noonan?)

This prior has been known for his insipid sermons.

This prior has performed exorcisms during Mass against the "evils in the air" for at least a couple of times.

This prior has implied two men at the Chapel were "dangerous" because they were "old", "not married" and "buddy buddy".

This prior is known to have downplayed the existence of Purgatory.

This prior has fired the usher because he supports the work of Frs. Pfeiffer and Hewko.

This prior has threatened other families through e-mail, voice messages, private meetings and even from the pulpit.

This prior has tried to expel unhappy parishioners from the Church so he could charge non-parishioner tuition from their kids in school.

This prior ended up kicking these two little kids out (again, "literally"; telling a 7 and 5 year old to their faces they were no longer allowed in the school).

This prior has tried to get paid (through Step Up program) for the tuition even AFTER he had kicked them out (!)

This prior has placed a new priest to be responsible for Davie-FL and Miami-FL; and you guessed right: It is another French priest! In this case though, he doesn't speak broken english...  he doesn't speak english at all. (Well, maybe we could say "lucky them!").

This prior has recently asked $3,700 for a Visa. (I guess visas are expensive in France, eh?)

This prior has been saying mass at the house of a relative of the false, harmful, deluded and self-proclaimed visionary called Dawn Marie.

This prior has been destroying years and years of hard work from good and holy priests we had in Florida throughout the decades.

    The list goes on.....

So the thrill in Florida has been way beyond those of a mere roller coaster.

    Poor Florida!

I would've never imagined in my wildest dreams that a nightmare like this could be coming from a priest that was supposed to be teaching the "Traditional Catholic Faith".

The truly sad thing when reading about "priests" such as Fr. Vernoy is it seems like this is a very common occurrence within this neo-SSPX priesthood, which is self-surgically destructing any crediblity that they're so deperatley seeking. "And let him that is instructed in the word, communicate to him that instructeth him, in all good things. Be not deceived, God is not mocked." Galatians 6:7

It's very easy to see the complete opposite in conduct of behaviour and attitude in which the resistance priests carry themselves with the earned (not demanded) respect and dignity in the likes of Fr. Hewko's, Fr. Chazal's, or Fr. Pfeiffer's. They simply speak the truth. Almighty God's Truth!

Fr. Pfeiffer gives an excellent sermon on what a Catholic priest should be.......it would certainly benefit the whole neo-SSPX to see this and return back to their true vocation of saving souls.

MC in SSPX MC means SSPX Marian Corps. This is what I typed when I upload the Frs. sermon in my YouTube account. This is pesonally requested by Fr. Chazal when he was in Singapore on the 24th Febraury 2013.

As for calling him Joe? I think you got it wrong. In all the uploads of Fr. Pfeiffer sermons, I don't 'call him Joe' BUT FR. JOE PFEIFFER and I don't see anything Novus Ordo about that?????

I think it is because Joseph did not fit the space. I know that they put the first name to differentiate him from his brother. It would be better to use the letter J, when you can't put Joseph. I was always taught that one should use their entire name, which is the name of a saint. In this case one of the most belived saints.

No, I was not lazy to type Joseph. Infact I have Fr. Pfeiffer permission to address him as FR. JOE PFEIFFER, when I upload his sermons on YouTube.

    CATHOLIC PRIEST

Everyone must hear this sermon at 13:00 minute mark, and compare Fr. Pfeiffers descrption of a priest with the example given by Anti-Fellayism.
"A priest is meant to die for his flock".

The entire sermon is the perfect response, the perfect lesson for all of the priests like anti-Fellay describes. The man who learns from his errors, will have great wisdom in his age. The more mistakes he makes the more that he grows in wisdom. I hope that that priest and all such priests can learn from their mistakes. This entire thread would not exist, had SSPX.org not published the Seaworld "fun priests" article.

LESSON: They could have all gone to Seaworld, and gone on the roller coaster, and eaten  a bag sandwhich, and not advertized it, and nobody would have thought anything of it.

Thank you for thinking of and posting the link to Fr. Pfeiffer's sermon and for producing the video.

Calling him Fr. Joe Pfeiffer is NOT Novus Ordo.

You're thinking of "Joe" or "Father Joe".

A priest can shorten his first name if he wishes.

Some parts of the country are more informal than others. In the Midwest, for example, no one's name gets to be longer than 1 syllable. Even a nickname like "Cassie" gets shortened to "Cass". Kevin gets shortened to "Kev". And despite going by "Matthew" for about 13 years now, I'm still "Matt" to my relatives up north.

    There's nothing heretical about it.

I disagree with you regarding the tread being petty. I shall be the 8th to dislike your comment.

  • I really wonder about the 4 people downthumbing my topic. Could it be they think it normal for priests to take part in amusements not worthy of the dignity of a priest, IMHO? I understand the need for recreation, but SeaWorld and on the roller coaster rides?!!

I also think the background to saying "Fr. Joe Pfeiffer" is because there is also a Fr. Timothy Pfeiffer, his brother, so among people who know them, when there is a chance it will not be clear which one you mean, there is the custom of using the short version of their names to differentiate.  Having to say "Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer" and "Fr. Timothy Pfeiffer" every time is a mouthful.  Also, to say Fr. J. Pfeiffer isn't a perfect solution, as Fr. Timothy Pfeiffer's first name begins with J.
