Bergoglio has admitted that the Motu groups have served as a "gateway drug" or "halfway house" to Catholic Traditionalism.  When the faithful get exposed to the True Catholic Mass, it tends to make their doctrine orthodox as well.  So he wants to stop the ONGOING bleeding.  Sure, in the short term, the numbers of SSPX trads will swell, but it'll be a burst effect, rather than a longer-term process of drawing people out of the Conciliar swamp.

If I had to guess, when Bergoglio shuts down the Mass, maybe 25% of the Motu attendees might go to SSPX, tops.  There's a reason that they're at the Motu rather than with SSPX already, some of it being the nicer/bigger churches, nice choirs, shorter drive, etc. ... but the majority are there instead of SSPX because they don't want to be "schismatics".  Of the remaining 75%, perhaps half would gravitate toward Eastern Rite, and half would go back to the NOM.  So he's willing to cut loose that 25% to keep the remaining 75% from gradually also tending in that direction (and the future generations of that 75%).  That's his gamble.

Need Vigano to get conditionally Consecrated.

Well, if he intends to ordain priests, for sure.

Here's what I pray for.....We wake up someday soon, and hear the SSPX leadership condemn Bergolio, and simply state they are going full steam to Tradition without Bergolio.  They should consecrate new Bishops asap, and ignore Rome.  They need to act like their founder, and fight for Tradition rather than making nice with the devil.

I pray daily Bergolio will become Catholic, and especially pray hard while serving the TLM on the altar knowing this is the Mass Bergolio loathes with all of his cold heart.
I wonder how similar problems with the church were solved? Has a similar thing happened in church history? Being convinced of and converted to heresy, I  think so, but deliberately trying to destroy the church with the heresy rather than work out the truth? I wish I had more time to study church history.

Bergoglio must know that these actions can potentially lure some of the Conservative and idult Catholics to the Neo-SSPX. I believe he has a surprise in place for the SSSPX. What do you think?
Rome will put SSPX to the test next. Maybe another deal/agreement to be made? It could go one of two ways, but would probably provide more clarity regardless.

Motu?  SSPX?   Eastern Rite?
And I take it that you attend none of the above!

Where do you live that you have have so many choices?
