The sine qua non conditions to which the Society binds itself and that she requires from the Roman authorities before considering a canonical recognition :

...  3 The guarantee of at least one (to be read only one) bishop. (namely +Fellay?)

Desirable conditions :

...  3 A Pontifical Commission in Rome for Tradition, dependent on the Pope, with a majority of members, and the presidency, from Tradition. (namely Cardinal Fellay, Fr. Fluger, Fr. Nely, Fr. Schmidberger and few more of the 29)

How about a Rosary Crusade to Break the Monopoly?

Now is the time to Consecrate Bishops for the Dominicans, Franciscans and a new Bishop for each continent.

Have the SSPX ever attended a negotiations seminar?

Even if they haven't, common sense tells you, you don't lay your cards all out on the table and then try to negotiate!

If the Society were buying a car, here's how their negotiations would go:

"Here you go kind used car dealer. I have thoroughly examined my finances, scraped together all the money I have, and the absolute maximum I can afford is $20,000 for your car. HOWEVER, I would very much desire to buy your car at $17,000 $15,000 or even $12,000."

 :fryingpan:

Used car dealer will do one of three things:

1.) Try to get the Society to pay more than $20k, even though they've said that's all they can afford.

2.) Sell the car to them for $20,000.

3.) Tell them no deal.

SO, the Society has just taken the most important negotiation of our time with souls in the balance and played their hand like a 5 year old. The MOST they will possibly get now is their list of essential conditions.

I can't believe that protection from the rabid local bishops was one of their OPTIONAL conditions! Are they insane!!??

Sigh...

Catholics do not negotiate their Faith and morals.

Bp Fellay, his inner circle, and his court Zionist on the other hand....

In view of empty collection plates, reversed pledges, and plenty of anger, I believe the statement, though addressed to the neo-Pharisees, is talking at the angry and restless SSPX laity.  As some have observed, the Master of Leaks, Misdirection, and Works of Darkness is at work.

That's the whole point. To negotiate a deal where you don't have to do that. Anything else is unacceptable.

In plain English Stevus... as St. Athanasius couldn't, we can't negotiate with Apostate "Rome".
