Brian,

Thanks for your rebuttal.

I’d like to distinguish or qualify the SSPX sex scandals based on the players, victims and level of cover-up involved.

1. Fr. VDP perversion & apostasy:

He showed signs of demonic possession. Those close him had noted his visible deterioration while he was based in N. CA.  He seemed to be a wild card, solo pervert.

And after 21 years of his demise, it’s hard to say who failed to act or covered-up for him?

2. SSPX Post Falls sex scandal:

Now, this was an organizational failure and cover-up from top to bottom.

Three unscreened perverts were allowed to run freely among this trad Catholic school, which had (7) priests managing it.

This scandal was covered-up all the way to the SSPX District Superior’s office.

The primary news leak to the scandal was Cathinfo.
Incredulous,
You're right about the difficulty in sorting out details after 21 years. Last night, it occurred to me that Church Militans is leaving out an important detail in the interview with the mother of that other victim: I'd forgotten that VDP was no longer with the SSPX when he started up that school at his brother's place. That means also that the group VDP was about to speak to when the girl's father confronted him was not an SSPX venue. VDP was accepted into the N.O. church after he left the SSPX, then at a later time he was defrocked for being a predator. I'm guessing now that the pilgrimage to Europe with the girls was also post-SSPX for VDP. VDP had sent out a letter to the faithful of Post Falls (and I'm guessing everywhere else in his address book) , after he left the SSPX, that gave his side of the story of his conflict with the SSPX. But he left out anything regarding his sɛҳuąƖ misconduct. And neither I, nor most people knew at the time of said misconduct, or at least not the grievousness of it. But you mentioned that he'd been disciplined many times, and Ladislaus mentioned that he'd been allowed to put on a retreat for girls after Fullerton knew of his misconduct. If this is true, then the SSPX is still has plenty of guilt in this.
And yes, the SSPX Post Falls sex scandal was was clearly "was an organizational failure and cover-up from top to bottom".

Watched the first part about Vander Putten completely. I lived in the world seducing bikini clad young girls (18-25 years old)  on the beach till I came back to the Church at 40+. I married and now have many daughters. I know the world out there very well.

My first take is that what happened is "par for the course", very normal. Parents that think that a 19 year old girl has any business living by herself in another state, under the charge of  28 year old men, who have access to their bedrooms and shower facilities..... Any parent that thinks that's normal, is an idiot. A 19 year old girl should be living at home with her parents and not even be allowed to spend even one night at any house where there is a man, whether a 16 year old, or a father of 60.

What happened to this girl is nothing compared to what could have happened had this Vander Putten known how to seduce such an easy target. Pardon my bluntness.

(P.S. - the mєdια interviewer is typical of Novus Ordo "Catholics", she is an obscene person with no class, two times the Vander Putten flashed the girl, the interviewer spells out the view in every detail. There was no need for that at all. She does it a few times more with other descriptions. No class!)
This morning I watched the other Church Militant interview. That interview gets a ditto+++++++ of what I wrote above. The parent sends her 17 year old daughter to live in a strangers house in another state and the girl gets kissed on the lips and  gets flowers when she arrives!  Incredible idiocy. I only watched it that far. I get the picture.

We know what the Archbishop did with Carlos U.  He told Bishop Williamson to "watch him like a hawk".
I assume that Ben Van Der Putten comes from the larger US Van der Putten family that produced other trad priests and large Catholics families.  I believe he has a brother who left the SSPX, joined the FSSP.
Could it be the case that in a very large Catholic family where there is a pressure to become a priest or religious or get married and have a large family, that a person who is sɛҳuąƖly immature and mentally weak finds himself entering the seminary and goes all the way through never admitting that he really would have like to have got married instead.  Then as a priest the desire to have sex weighs on his mind and comes out in weird predatory sɛҳuąƖ behaviour with the only people he can target.  In many large families there is an odd ball or someone harbouring secrets or who simply does not want to follow the mores and norms of the family.  In some cases they run off and marry a divorcee, in other cases they lapse and in some cases they enter the SSPX seminary hoping that their inner badness will somehow be cured.
Ben Van Der Putten married a woman in Hawaii, had 4 children, got divorced and now lives in a tiny house in Shawnee, OK.

I agree.  But there tends to be a correlation between people wanting to be innocent and avoid even dealing with perversion, sɛҳuąƖ matters, porn, predatory creeps and a level of naivety that is "incredible idiocy".  There is a certain "type" of victim here.  I watch them interviewed and I never see my wife, or my daughters or my many many nieces (none of whom wear denim skirts or have ever entered a convent).
They are far less naïve than these women, but all married with children and practicing their faith.
How does one both bring up children free of any discussion of things, phrases, behaviours that would allow them to spot a pervert or creepy priest, whilst at the same time giving them the mental tools and experience to spot a creepy priest.
It's like being a cop in the inner city and needing to deal with the dead babies of drug addicts, hookers, transsɛҳuąƖ hookers and other scuм.  You are not going to be able to live the life of a monk spiritually whilst at the same time handling the questioning, arrest, bail, interviews, tip offs of such people.
What alerts me to this naivety is that when a priest exposes himself they don't immediately leave the building and take a taxi to the nearest motel or parishioner's house.

I don't find your theory regarding the path to Benedict VanderPutten's path to being a predator to be at all implausible.
