A rumor comes and goes each year that the Society will consecrate new bishops, and you would know if they did. It's one of the most elaborate ceremonies of the Traditional Rite outside of building consecrations and Holy Week.

At this point, they have to. They would be stupid not to.

Considering the SSPX complained that Bishop Williamson consecrated a bishop without permission, will the SSPX seek permission from Rome?

A friend of mine told me that the SSPX priest at her chapel announced on Sunday that (because of Tissier's situation) the higher up in the SSPX are definitely discussing plans now to consecrate new bishops...

But the priest said that he did not know if that meant that they would do as Archbishop Lefevbre did or go down some other route.

Here is hoping and praying that Bishop Tissier's death wakes up the SSPX leaders, reminds them of their own deaths which could come at any time, and that they make good decisions in the coming year. :pray::pray::pray:
