I think that it's one thing to argue that she was out of her mind, either on psychotropics or due to some other deranged post-partum mental state, though I would dispute that you can be so much on SSRIs or a hormonal whackiness as to simply NOT KNOW THE MORAL NATURE of the act you're committing.

That's the same attitude I have about Cabbage claiming that +Thuc wasn't in his right mind enough to validly confect a Sacrament.  You can be half "nuts" in the colloquial sense (that's how Cabbage tries to apply it, where it means imprudent or exercising poor judgment), but the standard for moral culpability is simply that you KNOW what it is you're doing and recognize the objective moral nature of the act.  Whether or not you've used bizarre logic to convince yourself to do it, or that it's OK, or are depressed, or a little "off" with SSRIs, none of that matters in terms of whether or not your actions meets the criteria for a HUMAN ACT.

Now ... unless the woman had been so nuts that she literally thought that the children were demons (not just demon possessed, but demons posing as children), it doesn't matter how depressed she is.  She has the intellectual knowledge that ... "by strangling" or "by drowning" or "by slitting throats", I am killing them, and murder is contrary to the natural law, so everyone knows it's wrong.  Period.

Similarly with +Thuc, as long as he knew that "I am a bishop." and "I am doing this thing the Church does to make priests into bishops." ... that's it.  He could have believed that Clemente Dominguez was in fact the Pope and the incarnation of Elijah or any such nonsense (which he didn't, but this is for the sake of argument), and that STILL would not have invalidated his Sacraments.  Yes, that would be "nuts" in a looser colloquial sense, but the true definition of the term in this context and in the case of the "post partum" females is ... DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND INTEND TO DO IT?  That's it.  Period.  Now, depending on how whacked out you are, short of being so deranged that you truly have no idea what you're doing, that might mitigate guilt to a certain extent, i.e. provide exenuation of guilt, but even that's largely knowable only in the internal forum, and should not preclude administration of the death penalty, given the gravity of the crime.

Ok, you're even less ready for marriage if you're posting this shit from MGTOW losers. "Whore depression". Genuinely. Postpartum depression happens because hormones shift. Stress is high. She just had a damn baby.

I am convinced that some Trad men do not respect women, to be completely honest. I have seen it on this forum firsthand. It is absolutely not all, but it is a very small minority that are the loudest in the room.

Some do, some don't [respect women].

Of those who don't, some ...

1) excessively disparage women because they themselves are weak in resisting tempations against purity, and in a sense feel dominated by women, and thus over-react

2) have had a lot of experiences with women who are emotional trainwrecks, manipulative, self-absorbed, and so on and so forth -- and are tied of people putting women on pedestals and worshipping them, as if their excrement don't stink, the same white knightish attitude you exhitib by your nonsensical "She just had a damn baby."

You conflate someone who says that there's no armount of "depression" that could justify the evil of murdering your children with misogyny ... whether or not guilt may be extenuated to an extent God only knows.  Being depressed does not render you bereft of the intellect to know right from wrong and to know that you're doing wrong.

I've had times in my life that I was EXTREMELY depressed (not just sad, but with crippling depression) ... and at no point did I not at least know that if I decided to go out an kill someone that I would not be committing a grave evil (or, for a Catholic, a mortal sin).  Women constantly use the "hormones" excuse to claim that they are not responsible for, say, nagging the crap out of their husbands and/or children and treating them like dirt.  Excuse rejected.  You still have an intellect and will.

Or are those who try to let women "off the hook" because of "muh hormones" ... are you tacitly admitting that women are bereft of intellectual capacity, where they have such little command of their intellects, and their emotions completely tell them what to do, that ... basically they are not even human, but mere animals reacting instinctively to emotion and hormone.

On the contrary, I have more respect for women that you do by implying this crap about "She just had a baby." as if that rendered her bereft of intellect.  I respect women as having rational souls, endowed with intellect and free will, and who are not animals simply being told what to do by their emotions.

So, the correct balance is ...

1) respect women by giving them credit for being rational beings endowed with an intellect and free will and who are not mere animals who are governed by their emotions so much so that they lose their free will and can't even control themselves.  Despite pretending to be a white knight, your attempt to excuse these child killers on account of having had a baby ... you're actually the one who's disrespecting women, giving them not enough credit to consider them rational beings.  You act as if they're just like some pitbull that due to some instinct just started killing people.  You need to give women more credit than that.

2) respect them enough not to counteract that nonsense by erring in the other direction, i.e. calling them "whores" and whatnot simply for having fallen into sin (though the term might apply to those women who are supporting this woman's actions and also those who were, say, clapping when the one governor signed the abortion to full term bill ... as that's a more powerful willful evil)

Yes, the degree of guilt may be extenuated by various circuмstances, emotions, hormones, etc. ... but in no case can the action be justified or excused of being a grave and heinous act that deserves capital punishment (while we prescind from juding the external forum).

I’m not allowed to click on this link in UK… what’s the video please? I will search for it.
It's a picture. A counter to the viral video clips of women "empathizing" with Clancy. "Same, Lindsay"

A happy man holding a baby. "Same, Worldsaway"

Men can never be or experience personally what it is to be a woman.  The connection they have with the preternatural is profound.  Trust me I know.  Demons and Angels are whispering all the time.  It is only with True Catholic teaching and True Catholic Sacraments that you have the tools to learn how to discern spirits.

It is very sad what she did.  I think that she needs to be accountable some how.  I am not sure what is on the table.  I haven't followed the story.

As far as I know, depressive people are not murderers. At most, they will commit ѕυιcιdє, not kill other people.

So, SOME depressed people can become murderers, BUT ... there's no direct and necessary connection or causality.  You have to take your depression and then add an act of the will, an act of hatred, to take others out to punish them for how you feel.  But depression doesn't render you so bereft of intellect as to no longer know right from wrong, which is the moral AND legal standard for culpability.  You'd have to have some other psychological problem where you're hallucinating or otherwise so detached from reality that you no longer even know right from wrong and can't even tell reality from unreality.  Yes, SSRIs are known to create a certain amount of "detachment" from reality, but not to such an extent that you literally believe that some purple aliens from the planet Neptune have replaced your children so you must kill them.
