The simple answer: no a woman shouldn't lead the relationship.  This lack of confidence he has is why women keep leaving him.

As to end the relationship, I don't understand why this will ruin the friendship.   Is it just that misery enjoys company and he wants you to go through similar experiences?  He is just being emotional.  I am learning emotions should just be patiently waited through until reason has restored itself.

I agree.

He talks to his Grandma about me a lot, she's a good Traditional woman. She's told him multiple times "you're a moron" in a nice way every time he gets with one of these Trad girls. She got their Priest to talk to him about it. Didn't work, despite this I hope his Grandma will get through to him about this, if he decides to bring it up to her. Pray for him.

I'm starting to understand why most people don't want to be around emotional men. He's hot and cold often. This one feels like a low blow toward what I believe instead of artificial distance.

I will pray for him.

I don't understand what you are trying to say in the bold.

He's hot and cold at times, his distance being artificial. Today, was a low blow or a cheap shot against what the Bible says, which is what I believe in.
