Posted July 7, 2026.
Catholics are confused as to which group is the "Approved" congregation.. After July 1 event, Catholics are scanning the "Who's Who" of everything. Now let's focus on the "Why".

Official Redemptorists issue Clarification Note.

Excerpt:
"...The community now known as the “Transalpine Redemptorists” originated in 1988 as a group separated from the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, initially linked to the traditionalist movement associated with the Society of Saint Pius X. It later adopted the name “Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer” (F.SS.R, Filii Sanctissimi Redemptoris).
  •    In 2008, this community was reconciled with the Holy See, and on 15 August 2012 it was erected as a clerical religious institute of diocesan right in the Diocese of Aberdeen, Scotland. However, it has never been part of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (C.Ss.R), nor has it ever been juridically affiliated with the Redemptorist General Government.
  •    In recent years, new doctrinal and ecclesial tensions have emerged involving the Filii Sanctissimi Redemptoris, especially because of statements critical of the Second Vatican Council, the Popes who followed the Council, and various aspects of the life of the contemporary Church. Such positions do not represent the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer and are monitored and evaluated by the competent ecclesiastical authorities.
  • It is also necessary to clarify that the Redemptorists present in Scotland who belong to the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer are not schismatics. The Redemptorist communities in that country belong to the London Province..."

Polite and well docuмented. They refrain from mentioning bizarre behaviour...

Papa Stronsay was a shining light , back in the day.  They published some remarkable books. "Mid snow and Ice" I believe. and more...

Bishop Roy has in fact been informed about these matters by my source.

There's a bit of mystique around the group because of the whole "island" thing and their over-the-top costumes and whatnot that they've develped a bit of a "teflon" aura about them.

There are many other far more worthy candidates out there.
Yes, by now I would have thought +Roy would have announced that there'd be no consecration, but the longer he waits, the more it looks like he's going to go through with it. If he does go through with it, and right now it looks as though he will, then he's one of the bad guys. I hope he doesn't go through with it.

Yep.  I intend to reach out to my source (whom you know also) to get his permission to spill the beans publicly.  I fear no "lawsuits" and feel a moral obligation to send that info out there.  In fact, I'd be happy to send it over to Bishop Sanborn, who actually has a much bigger sphere of influence and following online, and doesn't particularly care for the latest smears against the CT adherents coming from those quarters.

But I can say nothing, since i gave this source my word up front that I would not divulge any of this information without his permission, and I do not go back on my word about such matters.

Were he / they to attempt to bring a lawsuit, I believe they would back out immediately as soon as they were required to begin discovery, since it would all come out at that point.  So at most they would bluster about it, as a bluff or empty threat, since it would do them far more damage.

That reminds me of when Melania Trump threatened ot sue Michael Wolf, Trump's biographer for $1 billion dollars, and he said "bring it on", and said that it would never happen since all the dirt would come out in discovery.  He was right, and she backed down.  He instead brought a counter-suit, and she disappeared and kept hiding when he tried to get her served with papers.  She eventually got his suit dismissed, probably due to pulling strings, but also because Wolf had no grounds to sue her ... since she hadn't actually sued him yet, and he was in fact acting pre-emptively.  But no $1 billion lawsuit was ever filed by Melania because ... there's ample evidence already made public that link her to Jeffrey Epstein, where she was not a "classy first lady" given expedited US citizenship on an so-called "Einstein Visa" (where basically people receive expedited citizenship due to "genius" level talent).  Melania lied about her degrees, speaking all these languages (she can barely speak English still after decades here) ... and in fact, she was little more than a high-priced hooker who was brought into the US by Epstien (and one of his associats) and basically given to Trump, and in fact she had impure relations with Epstein himself before she went with Trump.  She kept claiming she barely knew Epstein .. .when various pictures of here were released "making out" with Epstine in public and posing multiple times in pictures with both Epstein and Maxwell.
