  • I'm skeptical of Peterson because he thinks he's his own messiah. His ideas and complaints about free speech were very popular *just* at the right time, and he capitalized on that to replace his professor salary, and just for that, he thinks he's the greatest thing ever.

Yes I have seen this pride you are talking about.  I wonder how hard it is to keep your humility when you become popular.

I just like what leans toward Catholicism and ignore the rest.

I also just noticed that I duplicated this video from Emile's post.

    https://www.cathinfo.com/fighting-errors-in-the-modern-world/religious-political-trends-of-gen-z/

Sometimes I leave videos open to view later and I forgot where I got the video.  It is also funny how Emile and I had different things strike us from the same video.

  • I am not a good salesperson,  but I thought the last two minutes was helpful on giving a good simple idea of putting things back in order. God's order..  :cowboy:
Jordan Peterson? We who have been blessed with the Faith, need not turn to nutcases like Jordan Peterson.

    https://frankwright.substack.com/p/jordan-peterson-canadian-psycho

Peterson famously urged Benjamin Netanyahu to “give em hell” in Gaza.
He is a personal friend, it turns out.

Netanyahu is not noted for his humanitarian concerns - and a warrant for his arrest has been issued by antisemitic conspiracy theorists who allege, without any proof whatsoever, that Netanyahu is committing genocide.
Peterson’s handler, Ben Shapiro, is a big fan of Netanyahu too.

Many Christians think Peterson is great. A lot of them appear to love Israel, too.
You can thank Ben’s Daily Wire for helping with that.

The theory of the "collective unconscious" echoed in Peterson means he thinks "archetypes" are real, and that what is in his head is also real outside of it.
Accordingly, “archetypes” are objectively real, they animate myths, and they are now animating the myth of Dr Tabletstein.
What he is telling you - is what he believes THEY are telling HIM.
    Think about that.
He is telling you this himself - and presenting himself as a sage for doing so.
This would explain his ballooning lunacy, and not only that - he presents his estrangement from reason as the highest form of ascended wisdom.
Jung did this too, pronouncing himself timeless, immortal, present in the precession of the seasons.
He said others could reach this state too, if they followed his example. People like him even have a name for this state of stark raving enlightenment - they call it “hypersanity”.
This is to say a state beyond sanity exists which exceeds it.
This is true, but I would not call it sane.

All this is lol, of course - as well as being a formal heresy - and the promotion of demonology as a means of personal perfection.
This kind of falderol has inspired "scientific illuminism" since Adam Weishaupt. It is traced through the theosophy of Blavatsky, the Freemasons, to the 20th century occultism of Theodor Reuss. It is the belief that communication with non-human entities can infuse the ritual pursuit of “godmanship”.
This explains why Peterson's deranged messianism is so strongly reminiscent of Crowleyanity, as the “Great Beast 666” promised much the same in his “satanic religion” of Thelema.
This is broadly known as the “Luciferian current” - a means of “light-bringing” exampled by a fallen angel. Which is a nice way of saying “Satan”.

Peterson in his “heaven and hell” suit: “ The blue fabric is made from sheep wool and the red fabric is made from goat wool.”
Carl Jung presented himself as a thaumaturge - a miracle worker - who performed seances and claimed clairvoyant powers. His mission was not confined to psychology, but he also aimed to “undermine Christianity”.
The Peterson “Wrestling with God” is a parody of the self-styled alchemist he has found in Jung. It is this archetype which animates the most famous psychologist in the world today.
Peterson believes in the same things which inspire and animate the Western current of occultism. He appears to believe he embodies them, too.
He is not only a seething nutcase.
He is a mouthpiece for the enemies of Christ.

This reads like a gossip magazine, which makes it hard to read.

My main point was that it would be helpful in life to take your little Catholic corner and organize it for God's Glory.  If you put yourself in order then that order could influence others and spread like wildfire.  Order solves a plethora of problems.

Why do we criticize so much and not take the things that modernists say, like JP, and redirect it to God's order?

I wish I could explain it better.

  • I agree that we are most effective with the people that we know in real life.

What do you mean by personally vested?

Sometimes we might be inspired to do things that we don't understand, but niggles at us until we do it (like writing letters to public figures).  Once we have done the thing (i.e letters to public figures), then we are at peace and don't worry about the outcome.  We never know exactly how God will use us to do His will.

"Effective" wasn't my concern, since we don't ourselves "effect" others' conversions. My point was that, with those with whom we have a history of reciprocity, we're better able to assess moment by moment our own conscience and behavior toward them.

As for being personally vested, it'd be a level of fandom where the admirer's emotions track onto the celebrity's public ups & downs and onto how others see/speak of the celebrity. Not only is it a form of idolatry, but it can also leave us open to influences we're better off without.
Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you, all things pass away: God never changes. Patience obtains all things. He who has God finds he lacks nothing; God alone suffices. - St. Teresa of Jesus

  • I watched the last two minutes. He said if you want to restore order, start by tidying up your closet, so that you can find the clothes you need to wear for what you need to do. [...]

With what he chooses to wear, is he following his own advice? :laugh1:

Ok. I think I get your point.  And for the record I am not personally vested.

  • JPs jacket tells you all you need to know.  He’s a deist, meaning he thinks like a Mason, believing in a good/bad God.

I also saw a video (which I’ve been unable to re-find) where JP says that “we can’t let the right unite behind religion” because it would be too powerful to control.  In other words, his job (like the self-admitted atheist, Ben Shapiro)  is to pay lip/service to conservative values and keep
    the right pacified.

  • …(like the self-admitted atheist, Ben Shapiro)…

Where did you come up with this???

Shapiro is a rabid Orthodox Jew.

Judaism takes great pains to conceal its horrifying fundamental beliefs. The great pose is that Judaism is "monotheistic" (porking the "goddess" Shekinah at "the Wall" forfeits the "monotheistic" shuck), but despite all the pretensions of devotion to God, all Judaic cults are fundamentally self-worship. The full spectrum of Judaism, from "atheist" to "Chasidic" places oneself above God.

  • A Deist is what many of the Founding Fathers were, where they referenced "their Creator" but didn't, especially Jefferson, believe in the Christian Trinity.

Where did you come up with this???

Shapiro is a rabid Orthodox Jєω.
Shapiro was interviewed by some catholic bishop...bishop Barron on youtube...they had a lengthy talk.  At one point, the bishop asked Shapiro about his belief in God and Shapiro basically stated he believed in some entity that created things (i.e. like the author of the big-bang), but that God didn't get involved in the affairs of men, he didn't care and that the OT was filled with myths.  Also, that the messiah wouldn't be God, but a political leader.  It was astounding.  So, essentially, he's an atheist.  Or, the modern-day version of a masonic deist.
