If I dare whine for a few seconds, this has been a rough week. My sinus surgery last Tuesday seemed to go OK until a few hours afterwards I began having a very painful medication reaction (acute urinary retention caused by the surgeon's heavy use of decongestants). Then, to relieve the pain and drain my bladder they placed a catheter, but blew up the catheter balloon in my prostate instead of in the bladder. Agonizing spasms until the next day when the urologist removed the cath, seemed better, but then started having more medication reaction from the prescribed steroids. Too messed up to go to Mass.
