spare a few prayers?

  • If I dare whine for a few seconds, this has been a rough week. My sinus surgery last Tuesday seemed to go OK until a few hours afterwards I began having a very painful medication reaction (acute urinary retention caused by the surgeon's heavy use of decongestants). Then, to relieve the pain and drain my bladder they placed a catheter, but blew up the catheter balloon in my prostate instead of in the bladder. Agonizing spasms until the next day when the urologist removed the cath, seemed better, but then started having more medication reaction from the prescribed steroids. Too messed up to go to Mass.

If you could spare a few prayers, your kindness would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance!

  • What kind of urologist can’t tell a bladder from a prostate?  That’s awful!  As soon as you’re up to it, I’d recommend you find a malpractice lawyer.

  • The ER nurse placed the catheter, not the urologist. She meant well. I'm not looking for a "pound of flesh." I just want to heal. Also, I never lose sight of a fact: there is no justice in a тαℓмυdic legal system. In our state only 15% of malpractice cases find for the plaintiff even when with gross malpractice and patients have died.

Thanks for your prayers! I feel about 10 percent better than this morning, so the prayers are working. God Bless You all and Merry Christmas.

For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?
