“Diary of a Country Priest”, (French 1951 B/W).  Another Robert Bresson film taken from the book by Georges Bernanos who wrote the screenplay for Dialogue of the Carmelites.

The Keys Of The Kingdom (1944) Gregory Peck & Thomas Mitchell
GP plays a liberal minded priest who is sent as a missionary to China.

This movie was a blatant attack on the Catholic Church by Hollywood jews.
And Gregory Peck did their bidding.
In the scene depicted above, the priest doesn't care if his friend dies without Baptism.  (There are many ways to Heaven).

Indeed! As my dear husband would say in his quaint way: You've discovered the hot water.
