  • The CMRI priests are already in trouble on their judgment day for refusing us (who don't hold "bod") the sacraments. Fr. Palma will allow the past popes who held water baptism, which they call "feeneyism" holy communion, because they are saints but not us.

  • It's scary that the SSPX aren't consecrating any more bishops! Maybe the SSPX will die out because God is punishing them because they hold that people in false religions can be saved.    https://x.com/LiaEleven/status/1538192865217499136
    Time to start praying harder.  :pray:

    I wonder if 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 has to do with the Latin Mass is the restrainer and it's taken out of the way, then the wicked one will be revealed, which is the antichrist.

  • I wonder, whether Bishop Williamson plans to attend Bishop Tissier’s funeral at Econe on Friday. They were, after all, brother Bishops.

    Do they?  I've heard of CMRI priests asking Feeneyites to keep their opinions to themselves, but not denying Holy Communion.  SSPV would certainly refuse Communion to those who don't believe in BoD.  And this Fr. Palma sounds like a sedeprivationists, and the CMRI oppose the CT.

    I think he should.  If he showed up, I wonder how he'd be received by the neo-SSPX.  Would he be allowed in choir and show proper respect or else treated as if he were some kind of non-Catholic?

    This is false. The CMRI will administer the sacraments to both Sedeplenists and Feeneyites but prefers those who hold to those opinions do not try and preach them among the congregation.

  • Bumping this as a reminder to pray for Bishop Tissier as his funeral approaches.

    It was announced as being held on October 18th at 9:30 am Econe time.

    Requiescat in pace.  :pray::pray::pray:

  • I’m afraid +Bp. W. won’t be welcomed at +Bp. Tissier’s funeral.  Maybe if sneaks in late and ducks out early.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already been uninvited by Fr. Pagliarani and +Bp. Fellay.

    To the ongoing debates re: Who accepts people with Stands X, Y, or Z for Communion...
    My solution is to just show up for Mass if I’m not at my usual chapel, ie. traveling.  I’ve never once been refused any Sacrament or been interrogated. I may or may not agree 100% on an issue that awaits a Magisterial ruling, but the Church permits disagreement regardless of this or that group or priest.  I do draw the line at no novus ordo!

    I remember a very funny picture of the 2012 ordinations in Econe (or some such event - it was a first big priestly event after he was in the doghouse - maybe 2009?), where someone photoshopped Bp. Williamson into the group of priests, but somehow disguised.  I wish I had a copy, because it looked so funny.
    In spite of that amusing picture, it is sad that what you say is probably true, at least that he'd not be welcome. :(

    Well, from what I know, it's only the SSPV that are known to refuse Sacraments for various reason (Feeneyism, going to a CMRI Mass, etc.)  I was told a story by one of The Nine about then-Father Kelly refusing the Last Sacraments to a dying "Feeneyite".  Of course, they had no issues with Bishop Mendez' housekeeper/secretary, Natalie White, who was an open "Feeneyite" ... because they didn't want to alienate her (needed her to get access to the bishop).  I think they generally ask that new people talk to the priest before receiving the Sacraments there, but most Traditional priests are far too busy to interrogate everyone showing up before giving them Holy Communion.  I think that if someone show up at the rail and gives the appearances of being devout in receiving Holy Communion, they typically just give them Holy Communion.  In fact, I believe Canon Law stipulate that they must unless there's public knowledge of an individual's unworthiness to receive the Sacraments.
