  • As the Holy Ghost inspires the election of the next pope, let's pray for the outcome that will be most beneficial to our souls.

  • Really?  A thumbs down?  Was that for the Novena, praying to the Holy Ghost or that the outcome would be beneficial to our souls?
    Please enlighten me.

  • As the Holy Ghost inspires the election of the next pope ...

This premise is incorrect even in a Catholic conclave, but for a Nonclave made up of NonCardinals, it's especially false, and thus probably the thumbs downs.

  • Even if the wording is not perfect, wouldn't praying for the Holy Ghost to give us an "outcome that will be most beneficial to our souls" be a good thing?

It is very frustrating when people say they dislike something without an explanation, because how can a person grow if they do not know what was wrong in the first place.
1 Corinthians: Chapter 13 "4 Charity is patient, is kind: charity envieth not, dealeth not perversely; is not puffed up; 5 Is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil;"

  • As the Holy Ghost inspires the election of the next pope...

After 60+ years in the desert -- including the "election" of some extremely problematic ecclesiastics of questionable orthodoxy parading around in white cassocks -- is it not wise to question the presence and influence of the Holy Ghost upon the present and coming activities within the Vatican?

I am amused that "trads" are shocked when they post something that happens to have a scripture verse or a pious comment, but received the dreaded downthumb… as if a nugget of piety is a magic talisman that wards off criticism of the context or substance of the accompanying comments.

  • The conclave vote is rigged. The Bankersteins and sodomites who rule the Vatican will ensure they get their guy to be "pope".
