Thanks for posting this.  After the Fatima prayer, we have included the Requiem aeternam response on the decade.  Maybe others might fine this useful.

V. Eternal rest give unto them, O Lord.
R. And let perpetual light shine upon them.

V. May they rest in peace.
R. Amen.

That was never prescribed as part of the rosary by The Holy Virgin. Just pray what she instructed us to pray, nothing more and nothing less.

Adding your own supplication is the same mentality that led to changes in the Missal, the rise of Vatican II robber council, and heretic JP II adding the "Luminous Mysteries" to the rosary.

Stay away from novelties added to prayers and Liturgy that is rooted in tradition and decreed by Heavenly authorities and the Church.

Your prayer is great on its own, and you will receive graces for it, but don't add it to what has already been prescribed by The Mother of God.

I actually find this comment offensive in that it takes an overly rigorous view of Tradition and claims that a Dominican tradition is a novelty comparable to the scandalous Luminous mysteries.  I really think you should have done your homework before adding this comment.

Quote from: Dominican Rosary

In November and Rosaries for the Dead: The "Eternal Rest" prayer is often prayed in place of the Fatima Prayer during the month of November (especially after dusk on All Saints Day and on All Souls Day) and during Rosaries prayed for the dead, such as at Funeral Vigils.

It doesn't matter from what pious groups such novelties arise, for they are still novelties. You're simply rationalizing your participation in same novelty.

In case you didn't know, the Rosary was handed to St. Dominic.  So if the Dominicans (pre-Vatican 2) accept the Requiem Aeternam as a response between mysteries then I do too.  To call this a novelty is practically heretical.  You clearly demonstrate that you have no sense of direction.  The Dominican Order is not just a "pious group" as you called them.  It is one of the greatest Orders in the Catholic Church.  You are in error on this subject.

A NOVELTY TO PRAY FOR THE DEAD IN BETWEEN MYSTERIES! Are you even catholic?  The Orthodox don't believe in purgatory either. Maybe you have been watching too many Br. Nathaneal videos.

I am trying to understand this comment.  You are telling us to stay away from Liturgy that is rooted in Tradition.  That is the only sense I can make out of it, because the Requiem Aeternam is clearly a Liturgy rooted in Catholic Tradition and prescribed by popes.  You can find it in the Raccolta also.  I don't think you know what Tradition is.

Total logical fallacy. All this proves is that an ancient Order is subject to erring by embracing novelties. Again, the prayer on its own is wonderful, but it never should be added to an already PERFECT rosary that was prescribed by the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Dominic.

Oh, and one more thing, the Holy Rosary was prescribed to the Eastern Church before the schism long BEFORE the Holy Virgin appeared to St. Dominic and taught him the prayer.

Are you even catholic?

This is a classic case of losing an argument, thus (underhandedly) resorting to questioning if your opponent is Catholic as a way to dismiss and belittle him. Another FAIL.
