I have started attending Eucharistic Adoration at the local Parishes. I believe Jesus is present there. As we have problems with the New Mass, I have come to think it is often valid and is not always invalid. I have always attended Eastern Rite Masses, but now though I generally do not want to attend Novus Ordo Masses because I think they are lacking, I will pray before the Tabernacle or the exposed Eucharist. If Jesus is present there we should not abandon him and leave him all alone. I think it is a secret. A mystery. Everything is a mirage except for Jesus. It is hard to discern, but be trusting. God will provide for us children as he provides for the little sparrows. I love little sparrows, perhaps above all birds, even hummingbirds, who are more beautiful. So I have come to think it is good to do so. God is with us, even in the depth of Hades where I live. Or call it Babylon or Sodom. I think Babylon fits best, the belly of the beast. Go West, my son, but Look East. As if we were Janus.
There are good people there among those who attend the parishes. More than you would imagine. Humble people. The proud and learned have fallen, but the workers and the illiterates are still there praying. Or some of them I think. There are yet seven thousand in Israel who have not bent the knee to Baal. Go on preaching and prophesying for the sake of those seven thousand.
A good man came up to me and introduced himself. I asked his name. It was Christian and I told him my name. He told me to just say hello. And he told me to say hello to Jesus and I smiled and waved like a little child. And he told me to sit before Jesus and I told him I had a busy day and could only stay a few minutes and he said the same. Before I met him I prayed Lauds from the Little Office. I wish we could pray the Little Office led by a priest in Church before the Eucharist. Is that commonly done?
