Women being received into the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Malvern PA, 03/09/1957

And what exactly is the major malfunction that we don't see these numbers of vocations anymore?

No, Emile just inspired me to search for photos on the net.

I do have similar photos of myself, especially similar to the group photo. And the Child of Mary photo gives a good representation of what I remember. It seems that this is still practiced in SSPX and in the NO in Africa.

As a child I was a Holy Angel, from my first Holy Communion until Child of Mary days, but I can find nothing at all on the society of the Holy Angels. Has anyone else heard of this association for young girls?

My Dad was in the Holy Name Society and proudly wore his badge in his lapel.
Mum was in the Sacred Heart Sodality.
Brothers were altar boys. Something for every one.

As a girl, I would see these sister walking to the next home wherethey were needed to nurse the impoverished sick and disabled.

They are Our Lady’s Nurses of the Poor, founded by the blessed Eileen O’Connor, whose body was found to be incorrupt.
