  • Sorry, that was a typo, my bad. I hit 9's where I meant to type 6's.
You can begin to see the thin blue line at 56:00, and the sun breaks at 56:39.
But, yes, it is magnificent proof of flat earth if you took any time to understand the model and perspective.
    .
A real time movie of a sunrise over the curvature of the earth proves what, again?
    .
Are you schizophrenic? You should see a doctor and perhaps you can get treatment.
    .
But then again, maybe not. You might be incurable.

    post.
Sun actually breaks at 56:40, then again at 2:29:00
    .
And this proves to you the earth is flat?
    .

Neil, since you have a bit of an obsession with Gary Larson cartoons, I thought you might like to know that he also authored some witty quotes. Which makes sense. And since you direct Larson's art toward flat-earthers, I'll dedicate this Larson quote to you:

"You know those little snow globes you shake up? I always thought my brain was sort of like that. You know, you just give it a shake and watch what comes out and shake it again. It's like that."

    More Gary Larson quotes:

    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0488989/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm

Btw, Gary Larson is a Washington State native, which may account for his warped but funny sense of humor. He actually lived in the same part of town that I do, for a long time, though I never met him. I've been told that he moved out of the city. Smart guy.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

I have yet to meet him but I know a crowd of fans who would love to.
    .
There are 3 topics he does not take up: Immorality (avoiding the world of sex jokes), Politics, and Taking Pleasure in the Pain of Others.
    .
The rest is pretty much up for grabs.
    .
They say he got started really young, around age 7 ..........................
    .

    .
But he wasn't always so good at spelling ("age sevun").
    .
For artists or would-be cartoonists - notice the simple linework but precision where it matters, like the net's grid pattern is interrupted where the HEAD of the other player's standing in front of it, and the pole precisely interrupts the right leg and arm of another player on the opposite side, but the elbow of the figure holding the severed head intersects the left arm of the same player. Follow the line of the horizon (good exercise for flat-earthers!!) and see that where essential, the line stops just before running into some figures but doesn't stop for others so as to lend a hint of childlike immaturity to the scene. He was a very good imitator of what viewers would expect for a child, even at "age sevun."
    .
By the way, the ball shape in the foreground is not "the ball," it's a globe. See the longitude lines drawn on it? A very subtle globe earth cartoon!!

Yes, it's good that Larson has avoided any immoral cartoons. That's a rare thing. He loves animals but thinks that cows in particular are a very strange breed of creature. But you probably know that. Yes, he was a very good imitator of what viewers would expect of a child. And yet his drawings are clear and make sense. (unlike the globe-earthers). I think that his parents must have encouraged him to draw when he was a youngster.

I've already provided commentary on this video but it was before your time, Truth is Transitory.
    .
The video does not provide any relevant data, and that's consistent with a tacit intention to hide the truth. You see, all they'd have to say is it was recorded in the plains of Norway or the rolling hills of northern Canada. But if they did that, we would know that the camera was north of the arctic circle, where for at least one day the sun does not set on the Summer Solstice. The further north you go, the more days you get of 24-hour sunshine. Since the sun gets close to the horizon here in this video but not too close, the latitude was likely about 5 degrees north of the arctic circle.
    .
BTW that is how it works on a globe earth, which BTW is the real earth. The flat-earth is mere fantasy.
    .
Also notice the fact that the picture you see before the video begins is not an image from the video content. The moving picture found within is taken on dry land with no water surface to be seen anywhere. More deception!
    .
They have disabled comments on the video, and therefore after 9 months, it only has a measly 389 views. If comments had been enabled there would have been a lot more views since word of mouth would encourage others to come and see then post their words, which would have been mostly words like, "Did you have a nice time north of the arctic circle when you went there just to fake a video?" After a few days of such replies, if the author doesn't delete them, everyone viewing would realize the deception that had been intended. If he did delete them there would be even more comments complaining that comments were deleted. In fact, some videos like this look just like this one does after the author got tired of deleting whistle-blower comments and then disabled comments altogether.
    .
Since the comments are disabled, the exposure of the fraud is left to forums like this one, and the author has no control over those.

Gotta love Gary Larson, even if it's in spite of his nutty ball notions.

  • A circle is not a sphere.
It is in rotation, relative or otherwise.

No? Spin a coin on a table.
