I find it odd that cassini is staking his globe earth belief on a private revelation, rather than on the Book of Genesis,  which is de fide.

It is only de fide if the Church defines it so. That has never happened. Pythagoras is reputed to be one of the first to propose a global Earth. Many heresies attributed to him have been condemned over the centuries. Not once did any of the Fathers or popes challenge this fact.

Douay Rhemes Bible, the Bible for traditional Catholics quotes:

Isaias 40: 21-22.    'Do you not know Smedley? hath it not been heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have you not understood the foundations of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the globe of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as locusts: he that stretcheth out the heavens as nothing, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.'

That has been covered exhaustively here before: nowhere does the Bible say "globe."
Nowhere.
It says: compass.
A compass is a CIRCLE.

The Book of Genesis,  and the entire Bible, is de fide.

Private revelations are not.

.
Can the Bible tell you where you put your car keys? Or how to perform long division without a machine? Or with a machine? Like an abacus?
.
They used the abacus when the Bible was written you know so why is it never mentioned in the Bible?
.
They performed long division using an abacus when the Bible was written, as a matter of fact so why doesn't the Bible explain how to do that?
.
Can the Bible describe modulus of elasticity of SAE-AISI 1040 steel? No? Why not? Does that mean SAE-AISI 1040 steel doesn't exist?
.
Or does that mean that SAE-AISI 1040 steel is flat? Or maybe it means the stress-strain diagram of SAE-AISI 1040 steel is flat?
.
Something must be flat about it if it's not in the Bible!

You were just shown the quote by cassini, it's in Isaias 40:22. "It is he that sitteth upon the globe of the earth." The Bible says "globe."
.
Get over it. You're wrong............ as usual.
