How ironic that people in China can be killed with impunity, en masse and on demand for not toeing the line. This simply does not ring true.

All indications are that this is worse than the Chinese are letting on.  They are covering up the total deaths by writing them off as simple pneumonia.

Chinese have basically quarantined nearly 60 million people and 10% of their economy has shut down.

They would not do this for something that is just barely worse than an ordinary flu.
