I wasn't expecting that from the headline.  I thought it would be a  video game where you'd get to play Phillip the Fair killing Templars and smacking Boniface VIII with a glove.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

it looks as if there's a genuine possibility that Activision and Sony may come together to produce a Beatles tinged version of Guitar Hero.

    Come together to produce...

    "come together"

    ha.
    ha.
    *groan*

    "Come together...right now....over me."

That was a very bizarre 70's song.

Any song whose lyrics include "toejam football" is certainly strange at best...

    Imagine there's no heaven
    It's easy if you try
    No hell below us
    Above us only sky
    Imagine all the people
    Living for today...

    Imagine there's no countries
    It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
    And no religion too
    Imagine all the people
    Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

    Imagine no possessions

    I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
    A brotherhood of man
    Imagine all the people
    Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Atheistic nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr propaganda.  But who cares, right Roscoe?  satan himself inspired all this BS, but who cares, right?  Tell me I'm right, Roscoe, because I sure ain't feelin' it.

  • And all I came in here looking for was possible suggestions of morally acceptable pc games (I have been itching to play one again, but all the titles I used to like are evil).

Buy a Wii.  With that, you can get the Homebrew Channel, which means that you can run native code on your Wii!!  Lots of fun applications, such as Google Earth.  Yes, see your own home from outer space on your own television!  Great way to impress your friends and neighbors!!  Other great (and family friendly) games include Chess (which took me 40 or so attempts to beat) and Circle the Cat -- cat wants out, try to block its path.

  • I was thinking more along the lines of a PC game, since I already have a PC, and would only have to buy the game.

    Thanks for the suggestion, though.

  • If you make an exception of war and combat, you could get Rome Total War and get the expansion pack Barbarian Invasion. If your looking for shoot-em-ups you could get Call of Duty. Some good strategy games are Europa Universalis 2 (might want to check out the 3rd edition though), Crusader States, Starcraft, and I think any of the Lord of the Rings PC games (though I find the books more edifying).

  • The 'War and Warriors: Joan of Arc'; game by Enlight is also very good, even has Catholic spirituality in it, although, it is downplayed.  Software is buggy, and no update was ever released.  Definitely playeable, though.  Need Vista patch to play due to copyright protection.

  • One thing is for sure-- I have never played a single video game in all my life. Come Together happens to be one of my fav Beatles songs and if you listen closely John is actually saying shoot me not just shoot.

Imagine is a cornry attempt at a song and I never listen to it.

  • Tip on listening to Come Together-- the bass has to turned to about a-6 as it is one of three Beatles songs where bass overloads. The other two being Taxman and Do You Want to Know a Secret. This is unique as the bass is under-- recorded on most Beatles songs.
