Funny, but here's the thing --
We're laughing AT this "masterpiece" of AI, not WITH it.
This stupid AI text-to-video is like a 5 year old *earnestly doing their best* and they hold it up to you like, "Look Dad! I made Lord of the Rings! Isn't that cool?"
You know there's a difference between making a joke, passing it off like it's nothing and didn't take you weeks, and doing something with all your heart "for real" and it's supposed to be good -- but it's unintentionally hilarious it's so bad.
These videos are the latter.
Not saying the human creator was trying to make them serious -- he obviously realized quickly how funny it was, and is putting it forth as a joke. But not the AI! For the AI's part, it was honestly doing it's best to recreate Peter Jackson's famous trilogy.
See the limitations of computer software, something that will never actually *understand* things that your 5 year old understands? Zero faculty of reason. And this will never improve, not with 100,000 years. A machine will never have an immaterial soul, it will never trascend the physical realm, so it will never grasp immaterial things like CONCEPTS, IDEAS. It will never intellege (Latin, "read what is within") anything.
