Well, sending an SSPX delegate to WYD is not so far fetched is it?

Hasn't Bp. Fellay & company been telling us they were going to convert the Conciliar church from within ?

Why not a little missionary work?

I agree, if they were consistent, they would send a delegate to WYD.

But they're not consistent.  The Menzingen-denizens only pursue their
OWN agenda, on THEIR terms, and common sense is not a factor.  In
fact, they RELY on their followers to have thrown common sense out
the window.

Send in Fr. Themann to evangelize the novus ordo rockers ?

He's young, friendly and has a theological degree.

Besides, the kids might dig his spin on Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ. [/color]

Those who join a pagan organization submitting to blood-curdling oaths to cover up the misdeeds of others are objectively sinning.

A knowledgeable priest wouldn't pretend it's something men get caught up in without having any awareness of it being wrong.

What about Fr. Themann -- what about the sin of lying about the
culpability of Freemasons?  He would do himself a favor if he were
to go to confession to a Resistance priest!!

This is no different from the problem the Jesuits had after Vat.II
-- I knew one who liked to tell penitents in the confessional that
they had not committed any sins, and that they were wasting his
time by coming in there.  It was as if his objective was to make
the lines for the confessional shorter and shorter -- and if so,
then he was "successful" because under his "care" the lines
disappeared over a period of two or three years around 1997-99.
He went by "Father Bill" but his real name was Rev. Andrew Diviney,
S.J. (I found a listing here of "Diviney, Rev. Andrew (Billy) S.J,
d. 26 May 2006, late Milltown Park 6" - but I'm not sure if that's
the same priest.)

He passed away a few years ago.  May God have mercy on his soul.

I do ask myself, are those who are still following +BF the TotallyAwesome really all that blind and stupid as to at least not give the situation at hand more than a cursory glance? I found with my experiences in SSPX circles there to be more than a hint of anti-intellectualism amongst the laity. Faith AND Reason must go together. Fideism is alive and well alas.

If indeed common sense has been defenestrated (love that word), then the sheep who follow, well, they might as well jump. Just go ahead and jump. :smirk:

(Did you get the Split Enz reference to leaky boats Neil of the Obstat?)

Yes it is true. Especially the people of Europe feel it.

Regardless, Bishops should behave accordingly, whether at a liturgical event or not. Which leads to the conclusion:  Are they Bishops?

Yet another angle on sedevacantism  :laugh2:
