The leadership in Saint Marys
« on: May 16, 2013, 08:47:44 PM »
In the Christmas letter sent to the people of Saint Marys we had this quote from a Father William Most (now deceased): "The stronger the love, the greater lengths to which the soul will go to please God and to induce others to please Him.  Little love will be satisfied with giving little; great love will give much; perfect love will give all"

The commentary began like this: "The truth of these words from author Fr. William Most strikes us especially poignantly when we consider the birth of Our Savior. Like the shining star that pierced the darkness of that first Christmas night so long ago, the burning charity of the Divine Son made Man pierces and dispels the deep darkness of the world. Loving His Divine Father with all the ardor of His Sacred Heart, and longing to sacrifice Himself for souls, Jesus showed His perfect love even in the manger: Our Blessed Lord gave all; He gave Himself."

All of it and our commentary can be viewed at this link:

Crisis rarely preached

We have just dug up THIS writing from Father William Most. A superior of the SSPX appreciates him so dearly:

ARCHBISHOP LEFEBVRE AND THE DECLARATION ON RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
                                                 by Fr. William Most

"Because of the claims, and subsequent schism, made by Archbishop Lefebvre that the <Declaration on Religious Liberty> of Vatican II,
Dignitatis humanae>, contradicted teachings of Gregory XVI, Pius IX, and Leo XIII, we will make a careful comparison of texts.

We must add that something taught repeatedly on the Ordinary Magisterium level is infallible. Such seems to be the case with the teaching of these three Popes. Hence, no matter on what level Vatican II, was teaching in this Declaration, the charge amounts to a charge that a general council taught heresy. Then the promises of Christ would be at least largely void..."

You can read it all at this link:

Schism

With quiet deception we see the people being sucked into the Novus Ordo. Watch and pray!

I think the point is:

The neoSSPX is using the name of a priest close to +ABL to endorse their Christmas message, but on the contrary +ABL and Father Most are shown  not to have approved Bp. Fellay's efforts to unite with the modernist authors of Dignitatis humanae.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

As I recall Fr. W. Most was one of the promoters of a less aggressive
new theology after  Vat.II and was no special advocate of the TLM,
but was quoted for keeping the Newmass more "conservative."  I
haven't checked but that's how I remember him being referenced by
some activists, along the EWTN direction and Fr. Fessio before his
Ave Maria days in Florida.

Here is the Conclusion of the link that was posted:

Quote from: Father Most
Therefore Archbishop Lefebvre was completely without justification in his claims.

So the SSPX is referring to this priest in their letters to the faithful, essentially endorsing the priest, despite his opposition to the position of the Archbishop.

The Doctrinal Preamble is a lot like the docuмents of Vatican II.

A lot of people will shrug their shoulders and say "So what?"

They don't understand the implications.

The implications are unmistakable.

They abandoned the position of the Archbishop.

They've abandoned the SSPX's chief reason for being separate from the Conciliar Church.

And in trying to deny that they are, they are being less than straightforward or honest.

They are doing the same thing the Vatican II sect does.

And you know now, they practically say the conciliar church, the Vatican II sect, is not apart from the Church.
