The whole concept of "resistance" is vague anyway.  There were priests who never said the New Mass and were "resisting" as early as 1969/70.  In their newsletters that would constantly speak of "resisting" the modernist changes and modernist popes.  How many traditional Catholics even approach these heretic NO bishops and say, "excuse me your excellency, may I attend the Latin Mass at my local church?"  The majority of traditional Catholics "resist" in theory and practice, whether they admit it or not.

The Sede position is more a distraction than anything.  Any Catholic with half a head on his shoulders knows that practically all of these NO bishops are heretics, and all of them have questionable orders.  There might be a couple of old-timers left, but they are dying off quickly.

Why was it necessary to separate from the SSPX and found another society to continue Archbishop Lefebvre's work?

Unfortunately, the successors of Archbishop Lefebvre have departed from the line of conduct he gave them on several points:

...

Our motivation is not to fight against other societies, but to remain faithful to the Church of all time by following the guide Providence gave us: Archbishop Lefebvre.

These Resistance folk act like Archbishop Lefebvre is another Pope. He is infallible in their eyes. Why do they feel the need to make a further schism -- this time within -- the Resistance just because Bishop Faure's side of the disorganized "organization" does not "dot every i" and "cross every t" as Archbishop Lefebvre would have. We HAVE to use the 1962 missal. Why? Lefebvre said so. We have to pray for a public and notorious heretic! Why? Lefebvre said so. Never because the Church said so.

You guys are already the most disorganized group in all of Christendom. There is effectively no hierarchical framework anyone can see. I hardly doubt certain Bishops of the Resistance have prying eyes into what the others are doing. This seems like a nonissue for me. Classic SSPX trying to impose matters of speculative theology on people.

Those are not my quotes.

I agree with the most part with you, though your allegiance is obviously with some other group, sadly.

False structures, blind obedience, outside our group no salvation, seems to be the message from the original quoted priest. I want to be wrong. A correction may come someday.
