Many "Resistance" priests have left the Resistance

This is not surprising to me that the SAJM can't continue to fall under a description that increasingly has no real meaning.

Bishop Stobnicki refuses to say the 62.

Bishop Ballini and Father MacDonald are not against the pre 55 and are happy to say it themselves.

Bishop Ballini's seminarians are "independent".

Most resistance priest in the USA are "independent". Three of the resistance Bishops are "independent" for crying out loud.

I have no idea what Fr. Brocard is going on about with the 74 declaration thing, but on the other points, the division could not be more clear.

It is a public disassociation.

They have free will. But I'm surprised they are doing it to quickly.

St. Joseph, terror of demons, pray for us!

I for one will continue to call it the resistance.

Because it is about resisting Vatican II. Not resisting the SSPX.

Loosely independent pockets as Bishop Williamson very clearly said.

The attempt to call it "Fidelity" comes from the Dominicans of Avrille who first put it in their third order bulletin many years ago.

It's fine if they want to call it that. but so long as everyone knows it comes from France. And France alone.

Exactly. I don't think the term Resistance is entirely dead, but your list here describes the increasing problem of calling yourself "Resistance".

The SSPX's use of the 1962 missal was not a reason for "resistance".

So what does this mean for the Marian corps of Fr. Chazal? The whole array of priests that Bishop Stobnicki has in Poland. For all the independent priests in the USA?

If they are being disassociated publicly from?

If father wanted to talk about a change in ideas thats fine.

But he used the definite article. Referring to it as a thing, in the real sense. Not something abstract.
