Today I spoke with some parishioners who still attend Mass there.

Fr. Wegner made a recent visit to the San Antonio chapel, and gave a talk in the hall after Mass.

During this talk, he insisted that many Novus Ordo bishops aren't so bad, etc. I wish someone could have recorded it for me, but unfortunately I don't have a recording or even a transcript. Suffice to say that many red flag items were uttered, such as taking down the defcon level on our attitude towards the Novus Ordo and their bishops.

Talk about yet more evidence that the SSPX has changed its tune -- both at the chapels themselves ("on the ground") and at the highest levels. Fr. Wegner is currently the District Superior of the USA. He's not "just one priest". He is in charge of the entire American district.
And he's preaching this to the people in the pews in San Antonio.

Good thing I don't subject my family to that un-Traditional rhetoric. I want my kids to grow up Trad. Hence why I can't go to Mass there anymore. It's nothing against Fr. Zigrang (who is returning, by the way, any day now if he's not there already). But Fr. Zigrang works for the SSPX, who I eminently distrust. And the evidence for why I shouldn't trust them is legion.



I don't attend the Novus Ordo due to the unacceptable risk it poses to my Faith and that of my family. Since the SSPX is beginning the process of cozying-up to the demonic confusion and destruction of Vatican II, I can't subject myself or my family to them either. They have lost the status of "good guys".

Any position more moderate than "Vatican II was a complete disaster. It was a punishment from God. The entire council, with all its docuмents, must be unceremoniously burned and forgotten" is unacceptable.

Anything less than "Vatican II is completely to be avoided, as a subtle, demonic super-heresy" is unacceptable. Speaking any kinder than that about Vatican II is a huge red flag meaning: "get out while you can!"

Perhaps the red light position has some merit?

Resistance priests that I have met think so. And I am not referring to Fr Pfeiffer.

There have always been Society priests and laity getting on their hands and knees to please diocesan elements (even Anglican) as though recognition from them was a key to existence. Going round like lepers was for me very off-putting and indicated serious flaws in the conviction of some trads. I am afraid they still suffer from the notion that it is only the Mass that matters; the rest is subjective interpretation and questions of taste. Fr. Wegner would not be out of place fifty years ago preparing his pre-conciliar flock with some enthusiasm for the horrors to come.
