Thank you for the correction! Someone who will remain anonymous told me Mr. and Mrs. Trumpet are from southern New Hampshire. So I suppose Canada’s traffic laws are similar to the US. That being said, the behavior is STILL weird. I don’t blame the cop for bringing them (or just him) in for charges, especially since he WAS guilty for not renewing his insurance. If they’d acted normally, it’s likely they’d have been issued a ticket and at worst, had to appear in traffic court with proof of having current insurance. In the US, you take care of your insurance, show up in court, pay your fine, and do better next time. That’s all.
Bizarre behavior in public makes all traditional Catholics look like crazies!
It is public knowledge, at least in British Columbia and Alberta, who this couple are. They were married by Fr. Hewko in Langley (BC) in July 2024. Some parishioners of Fr. Girouard went to the wedding, as the girl used to be a SSPX parishioner in Langley and her family still lives there. She met her future husband while she was working and residing in Ontario. A couple of months after the wedding, they moved to Alberta.
Father Girouard told us the couple had come to his mission at a private house near Dawson Creek (BC). After the couple had done their confessions to Father, the man interrogated Fr. Girouard for 45 minutes with a questionnaire used by Fr. Hewko to discern who is True of False Resistance, and who is Catholic or Modernist.
If you don't condemn the "errors" of Bp Williamson listed in the questionnaire, and if you don't red-light the SSPX, and if you believe a New Mass, when the conditions for validity are all fulfilled, could be valid and could produce Grace, then you are False Resistance and a Modernist, and you must be avoided because you destroy the Church, and if people go to your Mass, they become complicit in your errors. Fr. Girouard told us he failed the test, and the couple therefore refused to stay for his Mass. This was quite a shock for the 13 parishioners there.
Next time Father had Mass there, the couple came back for confession and still said they would not stay for Mass, for the same reasons as before. Father refused to hear their confessions, and told them:
"If my Mass is not good, neither is my Absolution, get out of here, and never come back. I want my group to worship in peace." The couple argued, and Father had to ask the parishioners to come and ensure compliance. Many more things happened between Father and the couple, and ultimately, his Mission there was destroyed.
It is too bad. Before this couple moved from Ontario to Alberta, and started pushing the Hewko narrative, there were two families in the Mission (13 people). In August 2024, H.E. Bp Zendejas was invited by Fr. Girouard, and he performed 10 Confirmations (some were conditional). There were nice meals with the Bishop, and everybody was happy and united. Now only one family of 4 remains with Fr. Girouard.
One parishioner told Father that, last June, Fr. Hewko went over to these parts to say Mass for that couple, and for the family they had convinced to break away from Fr. Girouard's Mission. Fr. Hewko told her she must avoid Fr. Girouard's Masses, and gave her the same reasons as listed above.
Therefore, it is clear this couple and Father Hewko are in total agreement and cooperation.Fr. Girouard has sent emails to his groups, and told his Aldergrove parishioners about these developments (and more like these, but I need to keep it short).
I have waited many days before writing this, as I wanted to see if somebody else would come up with the truth about this couple, and the Trumpet, and Fr. Hewko. Since all I could see in the replies was mostly speculation, I thought it was time to shed some light.
I checked on the Catholic Trumpet website, and could not see his name there. I saw they advertize for the Recusant of Gregory Taylor. Since the owner of the Trumpet is publishing videos of himself, and since he loves the Recusant, I think he should publish his name, like Taylor does. Maybe he wants to remain anonymous in humility?
Well, to the risk of hurting his humility, as far as I know, and according to Fr. Girouard's accounts and people in his Mission, and according to people who assisted at their marriage, and according to the man's own proclamation at Father's Mission, and according to what we see in the videos and on pictures on the Trumpet website, the man's name is Anthony Martinnelli (not sure of the spelling). As of last January, he was a resident of Alberta. At the time, the job he had was less than glorious. I will not divulge what that was, nor her name, as I feel sorry for her.
I don't care if you like to be pictured dressed as a Vandean in public, or if you like to film yourself praying the Rosary and being arrested by cops. That's your life.
But if you take upon yourself, as a disciple of Fr. Hewko, and following his example, to act as a Great Inquisitor and decide which Priest is Catholic or not, I draw the line.
