For all this talk of "poor wittle +Fellay being washly judged" - the reality is that it's the honest priests, hewing to the message of Archbishop Lefebvre, who are making all the sacrifices and facing up to the punishments that are coming down from the judaizers of the neo-SSPX - the ones who place Hillel between Isaiah and John the Baptist, and refer to "elder brothers." It's the FAITHFUL laity who are risking expulsion from their chapels.
And seek to put the SSPX's destiny under the control of modernists, who will control the future of the society.
I'd like to thank you, Tele, for this curious post of yours. I had not paid much
attention to the historical facts of Hillel, so I did some reading on him after seeing
your post, above, and found another answer - to a question I had been turning
over for some months. It seems B16 must be a student of тαℓмυdic writers, for his
terminology (hermeneutic of continuity/discontinuity) is right out of the work
of none other than Hillel. Furthermore, B16 seems to share a place in history
not dissimilar to that of Hillel, for they both have lived and written in a time near
the end of a long history of their respective churches' reign. And it could be that
B16's reign is happening at a time that is quite near a major change in salvation
history, just as Hillel's time was (shortly before the
first coming of Jesus Christ).
Now, I have to wonder, what are we doing with a Pope who seems to be more
well-read on every religion OTHER than the Catholic one? What are we doing with
a Pope who flunked St. Thomas in seminary? What are we doing with a Pope who
seems to delight in throwing monkey-wrenches into the finely tuned gearboxes
of Holy Mother Church, to what? - watch the sparks fly when the meshing teeth
are jammed and broken by the intruding offensive matter?
Here we are, in a time when unqualified men rise to the top of the Church's
governing offices, while highly qualified men, such as +Williamson are virtually
shunned and marginalized.
