Patricius figured out who Seraphim was in a matter of minutes, and did so to make the point that it is really not that hard to figure out identities.

Oh good. Have we cleared up that silly Seraphim = Matthew nonsense?

How could anyone have identified them in the first place?

Anyone short of (1) people who know them both and (2) those who can see that they post either from the same or different places are just guessing ... and poorly at that!

I hope someone is keeping track of Fr. Rostand's behavior.

Be assured of my prayers in this difficult and tumultuous time.

If the clergy are going to "keep track" of CathInfo, then I suggest they begin with the following thread:

Here is a sampling:

Here is a commentary upon the Lessons of the First Nocturn at Matins for the first Thursday in November, taken from the tome Daily Breviary Meditations: Meditations for Every Day on the Scriptural Lessons of the Roman Breviary, in accordance with the Encyclical "Divino Afflante," vol. 4, written by His Excellency the Most Rev. Joseph Angrisani, Bishop of Casale-Monferrato, and translated by Rev. Father Joseph A. McMullin of St. Charles Seminary at Philadelphia, PA (New York: Benziger Brothers, Inc., 1954).

Although these beautiful and edifying reflections were written for clerics, layfolk may gain exceeding great benefit therefrom.

I agree wholeheartedly.  He (Fr. Rostand) should be sent back to France.
That would be a transfer that actually makes sense, for a change.

Yes, because he has not been transferred back to France, we have chosen to transfer ourselves out of the SSPX in the U.S.  Fr. Rostand has caused a great deal of damage here, IMO.

+Fellay has caused ALL the damage to ALL the faithful.
:barf:

Tut tut, why are you ignoring the notice or has one not been placed at your parish? It's the crazy people, who don't attend the SSPX chapels, who are to blame. Don't worry. There is profound unity and please trust Bishop Fellay and Menzingen. It's just an internet rumour that a Bishop and some priests have been expelled. There is nothing to see here. Stop being naughty, Mea Culpa. Those troublemakers are crazy people.
