We often use the analogy of The Poison Cake when we discuss the unacceptable things given to us by Modernist Rome.
When they give us the Novus Ordo or the docuмents of Vatican II and say, "Eat this cake!" we say, "No. This cake has poison berries and even the dough contains arsenic."
In the example you have mentioned, they have given us a perfectly sound cake and placed a poison berry on top. "Eat this cake!" they say. "Yes sir!" as we flick away the berry on top.
This is the nature of the very reasonable adjustment in the Angelus Press printing of the reformed Holy Week.
