Santiago was ill for a long while before he went to the hospital. The bishop came after Santiago left for the hospital. Actually, Santiago was sleeping in the usual bishop's room, so that timed quite conveniently, so that they would have a room for the bishop. Now that they have a bishop, all they need is the land and they will have a completely independent establsihment.

I sincerely hope that the senior Pfeiffer's have not willed that land to Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer. It might not be safe for them. If anyone knows them personally, they might point out to them that it is not wise for their health's sake to leave the land to their son. Leave it to someone they trust with provision for Fr. to live there and use the property, but not directly to Fr J Pfeiffer. I so hope they realize this. They are in my prayers.

Am I the only one who does not understand what Maria is talking about?  What's wrong with willing land a son?  Why would it not be safe for them?  Leave to someone whom they trust, you say?  Don't Fr. Pfeiffer's parents trust him?  What are you saying?

Now that they have a bishop, you say?  Are you referring to Bp Ambrose.  If so, Fr. Hewko in his sermon this morning said that they were merely looking at this individual.  They had made no decision concerning him.  Are you talking about an arrangement in which they become a self-contained unit, i.e. and "independent establishment?"  Does that mean that KY is trying to come out completely from Bps. Faure and Williamson?  Hmmm!

If the land is left without strings to Fr. Jospeh Pfeiffer, then certain other persons who seem to be heading this to an independent cult rather than a true Catholic endeavor would have motivation to help the elder Pfeiffers to their eternal reward more quickly. I love Fr Pfeiffer, but certain other people seem capable of doing anything necessary to achieve their goals. Fr Pfeiffer's father may just be stressed by all this, but in these modern days, anyone with money and determination can induce a heart attack in a number of ways ranging from too much digoxin in something the person is consuming to electromagnetic frequencies that disturb the heart. Remove the incentive, and one is much safer. I do not know how far some people might go to achieve their ends.

Maria angela grow - I obviously dont now details about a will.  But, I think fr. pfieffer has at least two brothers.  I think he has a brother who is a firefighter who lives there or nearby.  So, I wouldn't worry about that.  You make an interesting point.  But, I wouldn't recommend emphasizing or being concerned with that.
