Are Fathers Chazal and Pheiffer now Independent Priests?

I understand that they were expelled from their Society, but they were not stripped of their Priesthood. So does that now make them Independent Priests? Are they Secular Priests?  Sure someone here can tell me. ( Also, what is a secular priest?)

It's Pfeiffer.

There is no change in their canonical status.

The SSPX has no official jurisdiction.

I'm sorry Telesphorus, I don't understand.

Do you mean that they are not priests anymore and he is only now "Pheiffer"

or that you are "Pheiffer"? ( I don't think that was it)

Or that you don't believe the SSPX has valid priests to begin with?   :confused1:

He was correcting your spelling of P-F-E-I-F-F-E-R.

My apologies. I am not accustomed to spelling German surnames off the cuff. I am fairly sure Fr. P-F-E-I-F-F-E-R would not have taken as much offense as you do on his behalf. As usual, some people are more interested in misspellings, typos, and incorrect punctuation than they are in the question or information presented. I think some of you have such small lives that the only joy you have is found in laying in wait for someone to make a mistake so you can pounce on it. It must give you some feeling of superiority that you lack otherwise. Not unlike the nitpicking Pharisees that you disdain. (or is that P-F-arisees?) I would rather be illiterate and unable to spell C-A-T-H-O-L-I-C  than be  a mean-spirited one.
