Anyone who enjoys relative popularity, makes good money, and isn't called too many serious names (anti-s3mite, conspiracy theorist, r4cist, etc.) AS a "Traditional Catholic".
Personally, I can tell the difference night-and-day. Let's put it this way: if you're 100% faithful to Tradition, telling the truth (cost what it may) etc. there is a huge glass ceiling over your head. And the glass ceiling is SO LOW, it's hard to even make a living.
The less you compromise, the smaller your audience, and the less acceptable you are to the "masses" or "mainstream", even among serious or conservative Catholics.
Just look at CathInfo. It has almost no competition as far as Traditional Catholic forums. It's been around 19 years. The forum is fast, well-moderated, etc. And does it have even 1/10th the reach of Taylor Marshall? Despite having dozens of times the information, analysis, and interesting content? I'm talking about the hundreds of members here, not myself.
Why wouldn't most of Taylor's audience prefer CathInfo? Because we are that list of -ists and -isms I mentioned earlier. They don't want the truth. They want conservative, or smells and bells -- but no farther. They're not interested in dying to (giving up) the world for Christ. They're not interested in putting Christ and His honor first to THAT degree. They don't want to lose any jobs or friends -- not even for the Truth or God's honor.
