  • Abortion is just the logical conclusion of a contraceptive mentality. Could we not move the Overton Window in our direction by having a commercial not against abortion but against contraception? After the initial shock, there would be a public debate on family, demographics, the reconnection of the reproductive act to ...... reproduction. Imagine ?

  • It's not just money but most importantly his being a presidential candidate.

Let me clarify.  I meant that if I had the money of, let's say, a Jeff Bezos or an Elon Musk, I'd fund such a campaign.  If broadcasters can't turn down presidential candidates (not sure if the same rules apply to PACs not formally affiliated with a candidate), then if I'm understanding the situation correctly. someone who can throw down the money can buy all the ads they like, and the broadcaster has to run them.

This. And contraception is just the logical conclusion of a Do-as-thou-wilt mentality re everything, not just family life and sins against the 6th and the 9th.

Those dominoes need to start falling. For that to happen, people need to stop nervously trying to prop them up, muh freedoms and all that.
Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you, all things pass away: God never changes. Patience obtains all things. He who has God finds he lacks nothing; God alone suffices. - St. Teresa of Jesus

Contraception is how eugenicist Planned Barrenhood founder Margaret Sanger habituated America to abortion.

All contraceptives (and even sterilization short of castration) can fail, and what then?

That's why TPTB want abortion choice.

Think about it --- the contraceptive fails, and then you have one of two scenarios.  Either the couple (or even the woman by herself, if the baby daddy isn't in the picture for whatever reason) welcomes an "oops baby", and makes a big-to-do about it, or she/they find out that a pregnancy has occurred, they get hold of some pills or a willing doctor, and nobody ever knows.  Those are the people who, even though they may not be outspoken abortion advocates, act funny whenever the topic of unwanted pregnancy comes up, and when election time rolls around, vote for pro-choice candidates because, well, it's self-justifying.

As a kind of aside, ever notice how many women nowadays look alike, and have a certain physical appearance, full bosoms, kind of moon-like faces, thick middles, thick legs and calves, corpulent posteriors, and that thing with either the long, straight, glossy hair or a "Karen" bob?  It's as though they're stamped out of cookie cutters.  Aside from the hair (which is purely a style choice), I have to wonder if this is the effect of using birth control pills and, essentially, tricking their bodies into thinking they're continuously pregnant, instead of simply too much of a fondness for biscuits and gravy.

Regarding the last paragraph of your post, I too have observed a significant shift in the average American's overall appearance. It's as if any aesthetic consideration has been completely abandoned. The women, at least in my area of the country, all have tattoos, dress in yoga pants..or sometimes even pajamas to go to the grocery store. Shocking levels of obesity are ubiquitous across all ages, ethnic groups, genders. There is a general slovenliness and lack of grace to people in their movements, manner of speech. I think this started with texting. Words, sentences were abbreviated into what I call Tarzan speak in order to rapidly text. This carried over into their verbal utterances. The men here look completely interchangeable: baseball cap always affixed to their head, scraggly beard, shirt/jacket emblazoned with their favorite ball team logo, and ugly tattoos. They listen to garbage music, eat garbage food, watch garbage movies and we wonder how these barbarians can be so callous and indifferent to wanton infanticide. Sometimes I will watch an old movie from the 40's and 50's just to see the decor and fashions. It's not just a different era, it's a different universe than todays America.

I've wondered about its effects on the female voice. (Analogous to the effect effeminacy has on the male voice.)
