  • I don’t use much skincare. Less is best.

  • I use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula when my hands get chapped due to the cold weather, and I also used it during my mother's recent illness, when I had to be washing my hands constantly.  There is no better treatment for your hands.  So far as I am aware, it contains no morally problematical materials.  Hope not.

O'Keefe's is also good, but Norwegian is much better.

  • I use Alaffia brand pure unrefined shea butter.  It has no ingredients other than the shea butter, which is from West Africa and works very well form my dry feet and hands.  I also use an Alaffia brand soap as a body and hair shampoo in the shower, and as a hand soap.  Besides shea its other ingredients are all plant based.

The Alaffia company is based in Washington State and I don't know how widely it is distributed.  Their website may have more information.

Yes to the Shea Butter. At various times I also use castor oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, emu oil, black see oil and other natural substances.

  • I've met a few sheep farmers, the skin on their hands is always baby-soft. It's from the lanolin in wool. I use it if my skin gets too chapped and also for cuts and scrapes.

Patience is a conquering virtue. The learned say that, if it not desert you, It vanquishes what force can never reach; Why answer back at every angry speech? No, learn forbearance or, I'll tell you what, You will be taught it, whether you will or not.
