Agreed! I'm Italian, and we really are food snobs. I cook everything I eat, which includes pasta, bread, and natural sugars. I have found over time that restricting entire food groups creates stress, anxiety, obsession, and lots of work. I love to cook. It relaxes me. The elimination of stress and obsession about food lends itself to overall health, methinks.

Regarding Italian food snobs, I have an 88 year old bachelor uncle who still cooks himself supper every single night! LOL!!
Nice!
I too am Italian and raised on that cuisine, as I'm in my 60's now, I rarely eat that wonderful tasting food anymore though the temptations too set in from time to time

Nobody else has said it, so I will… the lady in the video does not look very skinny… I thought the whole point of this diet was to lose fat and be lean and slim. Is it just her immodest outfit?
Immodest, yes..but if you don't think she is "slim", I don't know what to tell you :smirk:

Honestly carnivore is super based to lose weight. I couldn't keep up with the diet because I was losing more weight than I can afford to. Have started eating fruits again to gain more weight but if you seriously wanna lose weight just do carnivore. Plus it gives you great mental clarity!
I did keto and then carnivore for years - I just stalled out after 10 lb loss . The mental clarity is real . I just need to try something different ( and less expensive) I was buying grass fed and no lunch meat or cheap processed meat so it was pretty pricey.

Hey Paisano!! The nice thing about Italian food, is that it lends itself quite well to keto. Soups, stews, meat and veg, eggs. But, all in all, it's just a lot of work to maneuver around bread and pasta. I tried carnivore, and my Italian girl mind just couldn't handle how boring it was! LOL!!!!

BTW, I don't know what your schedule looks like, but I have found the omad sweet spot is to eat the one meal anywhere from eleven to two in the afternoon. Works very well for me. You just never die of hunger. Today I made a minestrone soup, and added some keystone canned beef in my bowl to get more protein. With pasta and loads of Romano, it was really tasty!
