This may be a bump, sorry.

I just realized my work insurance for 2026 is going a tad bit up (obviously, expected), but know its all going from 100% covered after everything/deductable to 90%...........

And the expense of children for health stuff is going up, too.

The Austrian Painter was right, lets all just admit this right now.

Seriously, my seethe meter is going up daily. I cannot stand this system we are in where we have to bend over and take it up the rear end and be happy with "what we have". It's also not my personality to just be unjustly stolen from. But, what can I do. We need to consolidate with our families sooner rather than later. This BS is getting out of hand. My boomer parents don't seem to get it either....... "Nothing is for free, derrrrrrrrr"

Sorry, here to vent.

I recently had to sign up for new health insurance and when I analyzed the total annual cost of PPO v high deductible low cost insurance, the out of pocket was HIGHER for PPO.  I went with the cheaper option and maximized my HSA contribution.

Yea, you have to analyze the costs very carefully. I need the option with the HSA, which is what I have, but these costs for things insurance doesn't cover makes it frustrating. I pay insurance so I don't have to pay 300-400 dollars for specialist visits.... What the hell is the point of insurance if I'm paying over and over again, for things I should only have co-insurance for. It's a scam, and I'm sick of it.
