Wonderful pictures.
My wife spoke to an 18-year-old student the other day about St Patrick's Day here in Ireland. Now this chap had 14 years education in a Catholic school. She asked him did he know about St Patrick. He said he didn't know much, 'who was he? 'Do you know what the shamrock represented.' she asked him. 'No' was the answer. 'Did no one ever tell you it was St Patrick's symbol of the Trinity, the clear three-leafed shamrock.''Never knew that.'
On radio I heard a man refer to it as 'Paddy's day.' 'St Patrick's day' replied probably one of the last men on TV and Radio in Ireland with a semblance of Catholicism. That about sums up the 'Catholicism' left in St Patrick's day in Ireland.
As for the snakes. Well thousands of them returned last year to vote for same sex marriage and are ready to do so again to bring in baby-murder to the 'Land of Saints and Scholars.'
