Reports Begin to Clash Over Angola’s Reported Ban on Islam & Dismantling of Mosques Within the African Nation’s Borders -

This is not satire…
The British newspaper, The Daily Mail, is reporting that Angola has become the first country to officially ban Islam within its borders and begin dismantling Mosques.

According to The Daily Mail:

“Minister of culture Rosa Cruz e Silva said that mosques in the largely Christian country would be closed until further notice.”

“President Jose Edurado dos Santos reportedly told the Osun Defense Daily: ‘This is the final end of Islamic influence in our country.’”

Christian citizens frequently clash with Muslims in the country, which make up roughly one percent of Angola’s population of over 19 million.

The ban is said to be in effect because Angolan leaders believe Islam clashes with Angola’s “customs and culture.”

However, it should be noted that, according to The International Business Times (IBT), this story originated in the Weekly French-language Moroccan newspaper, La Nouvelle Tribune, in an article published on Friday.

As of 2:32PM on Nov. 25, The IBT reports:

“Officials at the Angolan Embassy in Washington, D.C., denied Monday that the nation has banned Islam and dismantled mosques, disputing published news accounts and stating that they cannot authenticate comments reportedly made by top Angolan officials that support the claims. Read more here.”

I fully support this. Unfortunately, it will never happen. With what we have in office, we will be lucky if Catholicism isn't banned in the US. While Dolan yuks it up with Satan.
