I agree 9mm is under-powered, but I would open the range of acceptable pistol calibers to .45, .40, and 10mm.  Glock would also be an acceptable manufacturer.

Rifle calibers would have to be 7.62x39, .223, or .308.  Exotics would include .338LM and .50.

Abolition of income tax was listed on the OP platform.  But the national sales tax is a great idea, because people would to a certain extent determine their own tax liability, and, it would encourage self-subsistence.
