The lake is artificial, formed by a manmade dam at the southwest end, otherwise it would be a small stream in a wide canyon.

The sound of the waterfall over the dam is a highly prized feature only a few houses can boast of.

You have to have a pass to get in to the street where the lakeside houses are, it's a gated community.

They've had a lot of flooding problems in the past, since many of the houses are built very close to the water level, lots of boat slips.

If it's not a flood, then it's a fire, and every so often an earthquake. Their insurance rates must be awful.
