  • It pleased God to spare the lives of the below scandalmongers so far, but for how much longer?

    http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-et-celebrity-fire-evacuations-woolsey-malibu-20181109-story.html

As the Woolsey fire topped 35,000 acres Friday and the mandatory evacuation list approached 250,000 homes, celebrities from communities including Calabasas, Malibu and elsewhere found themselves in the thick of those forced from their homes.

Like their tens of thousands of fellow evacuees were doing, famous folks such as Alyssa Milano and Guillermo del Toro gave status updates and expressed their thanks. On her Instagram stories, Lady Gaga posted photos of her evacuating her Malibu home.

Caitlyn Jenner wasn’t as lucky, with TMZ reporting Friday that she had lost her home as the fire spread across the hills of Malibu.

“Bleak House and the collection may be endangered but the gift of life remains,” director Del Toro tweeted Friday after following the fire’s progress and evacuating on Thursday night. He was referring to his home, which holds myriad monsters and oddities.

Actors Milano, Rainn Wilson and Eddie McClintock, and musician Melissa Etheridge all found themselves displaced on Thursday as well.

I’ve stopped looking for “divine retribution” in this world for evildoers because I’ve realized it rarely, if ever, happens. We’ve had evildoers in my country a thousand times worse than these “celebrities,” and they have been allowed to go unpunished for their atrocious and barbaric crimes for decades, and today they are committing even worse crimes than ever, persecuting the entire population and destroying the country yet again.

On top of that they are blasphemers because they always have God in their mouths and they claim to be Christians when they are in fact devils.

And yet not one of them has been smitten by God and they still continue fine and dandy.

  • In God's time, in His time they will be punished.  He who knows all things knows when... funny I was just thinking about this earlier today, and in my mind I realized that God knows if and when; perhaps only a few of these evil ones, will have a change of heart and save their soul, God will give them this time to do it.  However, God who knows which ones will fall into Hell no matter how long they live, their punishment will be worse.

About 18 years ago or so, I remember watching on T.V. two Protestants making fun of Catholics for our honor of the Blessed Mother, they were actually mocking the prayer "Hail Holy Queen" and a few days later I heard that one of  them had a sudden heart attack and dropped dead, it was announced on T.V.  Sorry I can not remember their names but they were popular at that time.   If you wonder why I was watching, it was a case of the channel was on, no one was watching, I came into the room and heard their evil tongues and listened a few moments before shutting off the T.V.;  I normally hate to listen to Protestants speak and lately some Novus Ordo persons are starting to sound just like them.

I've seen that individuals who have no impact at large on many people seem to be the ones who get smitten more than the real evildoers with large/global/international influences.
How long have the Castro's ruled Cuba? What about the situation in Venezuela? Africa? All those dictators go unpunished for their entire lives.

  • This fire is sweeping through the area where the Church of the Holy Family (Mel Gibson's chapel) is located. I wonder if it were in serious danger, would we hear about it as quickly as Jenner's house or the Bachelor mansion?
"If I could only make the faithful sing the Kyrie, the Gloria, the Credo, the Sanctus and the Agnus Dei ... that would be to me the finest triumph sacred music could have, for it is in really taking part in the liturgy that the faithful will preserve their devotion. I would take the Tantum ...

  • Lord have mercy.

My throat and eyes are now burning from all the smoke in the Los Angeles basin.

Please remember to pray for us.

All ye holy saints of God intercede to Christ God for us.
    Lord have mercy.

I was leaving the Los Angeles zoo parking lot in the afternoon and my eyes were burning so bad I couldn't drive. I was wondering if it was because of the smoke.
    2 Corinthians 4:3-4

And if our gospel be also hid, it is hid to them that are lost, In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine unto them.

  • .
A utility repairman told me today that all of the Malibu Lake community was wiped out. I don't think that's ever happened before.
    .
The lake is artificial, formed by a manmade dam at the southwest end, otherwise it would be a small stream in a wide canyon.
    .
The sound of the waterfall over the dam is a highly prized feature only a few houses can boast of.
    .
    Personal experience speaking.
    .
VERY exclusive area, where a tiny shack can be a million $.
    .
You have to have a pass to get in to the street where the lakeside houses are, it's a gated community.
    .
Apparently the fire didn't stop to show its entrance documents.
    .
They've had a lot of flooding problems in the past, since many of the houses are built very close to the water level, lots of boat slips.
    .
That's probably all going to change now, if they have to re-build everything. Triple Golden Ruby time.
    .
If it's not a flood, then it's a fire, and every so often an earthquake. Their insurance rates must be awful.

It's a good incentive to quit smoking.

Boo hoo.  They'll just take up residence in one of their other mansions, and the insurance will pay for any damages.  I'm trying to find a tear to shed, but can't.

I don't desire the punishment of evildoers, but their conversion.  Otherwise, I could well be first in line to get my punishment.

I agree wholeheartedly looking back at my life, it is only God's Mercy that I am not in hell at this moment in time.

Nevertheless, I would be happy if something "happened" to these people, because of the good things that would result (less corruption of others, less glorification of evil, ceasing of their scandal to others)

When a soul is unrepentant, they deserve their punishment. And if God allowed such a soul to be harvested ("time's up!"), then it was obviously the right time, with all the factors being weighed infallibly by God's infinite intellect. If it was OK with God's providence, then it is sure OK with me!

No soul goes to hell without choosing it. God gives us all SO many chances, certainly more than we deserve.
