In my editorial last month, I harped on the lukewarmness of the lemmings who refuse to seek the truth because it might disturb their comfort zones, and so they lie to themselves. What I failed to add is that lukewarmness goes by another name in our times. It is called political correctness. That is the toxic trouble - indifference - that has afflicted so many and made us no better than the Church of Laodicia.

We all know where this was spawned. Yes, the devil, but specifically through Vatican II when the conciliar apparatchiks from Northern Europe, especially Germany, Belgium and France forcefed the progressive performas into the agenda in a Pearl Harbor fashion, so to speak. From that point on, the sixties would live in infamy as the beginning of the Great Apostasy that has been going on now for fifty years this October.

During this five-decade span, Catholics have bailed from the Barque of Peter as if they were on the Titanic. Those who sought to remain faithful were ostracized or, if they dared to stay, reprogrammed so subtly and at times not so subtly through intimidation. The rationale always being that a Catholic is weaned on obedience and if the "Pope" said it, it had to be true. How better to use something so inherent to destroy the Church satan hates with all his might? And ever since, other than a few priests, most notably Father Gommar De Pauw and Father Urban Snyder and a handful of bishops, specifically Bishop Guerard des Lauriers,O.P. Bishop Louis Vezelis, OFM, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and Bishop Pierre Martin Ngo-dinh-Thuc, the majority of clerics followed the same course all but St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More had into apostasy in the sixteenth century for abandoning Christ's true Church. Of course, the greater number of Catholics were obedient and they blindly followed their priests, bishops and "pope" into the apostasy as well four and a half centuries later

How sad - no tragic - that it took two Baptists to say what every Catholic should have been crying from the rooftops since day one, especially the Church's shepherds as Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey pointed out in his eyeopening article It Has Come To This: Viva Chick-Fil-A, Not Viva Christo Rey! But the Church's shepherds today are wolves in shepherds' clothing, and, in no way do any of them exemplify any heroic virtue. Are these the kind of men you want to follow? It is because the New Order church, aka counterfeit church of conciliarism did away with responsibility, accountability, spirituality, the sensus Catholicus, the welfare of souls. You name it, they've dropped the ball. You think God's happy? In His book they're zeroes, not heroes.

The heroes were those who would not compromise one iota with pagan worship or temporal ideals and stayed true to God and His Church. Their heroic acts are chronicled in the Scriptures and Church annals. We celebrate numerous times a week throughout the year in the traditional liturgy the remembrance of many martyrs such as Sts. Hippolytus and Cassian today. Hippolytus is one of the saints associated with St. Lawrence, who baptized him, and whom he followed to martyrdom in 258. St. Cassian was a schoolmaster, and the official who sentenced him to death for being a Christian and who had him murdered by his own pupils. He repented and gave his life for Christ. Though there may not always be a commemoration within the Mass we should not forget these heroes of the Faith who gave their very lives rather than falling into sin. Wow, what a novel idea!

Hippolytus should be a model for our targets in religion and politics, in our families, at our work place, everywhere. You see, true Catholics don't just pray on Sundays or act pious once in a while. No it becomes a way of life that one lives with no concern of what the world thinks, but only what God thinks. God preaches love, to love our neighbor as ourselves. Therefore, there should be no hate in anyone's heart to hate the ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ exhibitors who shamelessly prance their sins in public, but there should be a bitter hate for their sin and that should prompt us to want them all the more to repent. After all, what greater love can we show to them than wanting them to be saved? Don't hate them, turn them from zeroes to heroes by converting them. Cassian converted Hippolytus, not by tolerating his behavior, and not by engaging in dialogue nor browbeating him or insulting him, but by his sincere words and actions that inspired Hippolytus to repent and follow him. Think of the groundswell of conversions we can effect by our actions, by fearlessly standing for Christ and His true Church uncompromisingly against the apostates - every one of them from Josef Ratzinger down to the most clueless member of a Novus Ordo parish we pray and hope they will wake to what God truly wills and turn back to the true Church, abandoning their own wills for the Divine Will. Only then will the Great Apostasy end.

So also in the political arena. The turnout of hundreds of thousands who waited up to three hours just for a chicken sandwich on August 1 at Chick-fil-A's across the United States made a statement for Christian family values. Yes, as Tom points out, it was spurred by two Baptists, who were actually speaking Catholic truth, something not found in the conciliar church for the past half decade. But no matter who said it, they were repeating the Word of God. It was, so to speak, the straw that broke the camel's back. The silent Christian majority in the US had had enough and came from everywhere to back the principles of Chick-fil-A owner Dan Cathy. Here was a man who, though not of the true Faith, still believed in what he was doing and was not afraid to not only speak it but show it. How many Catholic establishments close their doors on Sunday to honor the Lord's Day? Before Vatican II, most of them. After? Well, it's all part of the collapse of culture and civility created by the conciliar conscience or lack thereof. The conciliar church abdicated its moral authority with Angelo Roncalli's ridiculous Aggiornamento after saying no to revealing the Third Secret of Fatima. Oh, that was smart! Not!

Let's analyze just what Cathy said to spur the right to do what was right and roil the left to accuse and spew the verbal engineered word 'homophobe' as part of their hate agenda. Note, those who are the first to raise a hate accusation or racial accusation are usually the guilty ones. For the best evidence of this, look at the Southern Poverty Law Center who stir up hate as they look in the mirror. They are the left's lackeys. Let's see what so roused the progressives' fabricated wrath by what that terrible COO of Chick-fil-A said:

"We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that. ... We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles."

Oh, that should stir everyone to grab the pitchforks and torches. Not! Now everything he said is in concert with Catholicism even though the heresy of Americanism seeps in at the end just a bit with the religious freedom reference. He claimed that his company was "guilty as charged" for having the audacity to uphold the "biblical definition of the family unit." How novel and revolutionary! Here was a Baptist who should be easy to convert considering his principles, but where are the shepherds? Silent as usual or backwalking on this or that so that they will not be seen as intolerant or against diversity. After all they have to be politically correct. What would the world say if they stood up for principles and truth? But then did you expect anything more from these zeroes?

What Cathy has done is replace Catholic bishops and priests as the spokesman for backing Holy Writ and what every saint was willing to die for. But then again, did we not remind you those in the conciliar infrastructures have abdicated their authority and influence? Do the leftist zealots realize by their assinine political correctness that they've ruffled some feathers big time and we're not talking fowls, but rather angels? God's avenging angels. While the crowds last Wednesday were not shouting "Viva Christo Rey!", but rather "Viva Chick-fil-A!" it is this editor's opinion that 90% of those sheep who turned out would shout "Viva Christo Rey!" or "Long Live Christ the King" if they had the right shepherds to lead them.

That is the core of hope we cling to for what Cathy said is exactly what we have been saying since day one:

"I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.' I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about."

Wow! You sure he isn't a closet traditional Catholic? He should be, and that's why in part two we'll delve into how the tide can begin to turn in the next three months through the crusade to return the USA to placing itself under the Social Kingship of Christ.

Many say that the only way we are ever going to turn things around is either by divine intervention that would come either by way of a miracle seen by the entire world to convert them instantly so that all souls would clearly see right from wrong with no relativism to block their vision and hearts so that they would convert - or by a chastisement that will bring this world to its knees. Don't know about you, but the former is a far better outcome than the latter and we believe God feels the same way. After all, He is all merciful and wants to use those means rather than His other divine attribute of being all judgmental as the Supreme Judge. Yet, all the signs point to the latter as the inevitable outcome.

The fears of Deember 21, 2012 being the end aside, there is a growing anxiety that God's cup is overflowing and Mary, the Mother of God cannot hold back His hand of wrath much longer. He has been warning us with the signs for some time now as Christ said in St. Matthew 24: 4-8:

"Take heed that no man seduce you: [ For many will come in My name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places: Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows."

Do we not see these very things happening today? Look at the war-mongering throughout the world, the pestilences in India and Africa, the drought in the midwest and southwest that is creating famine, and the increasing earthquakes around the world. All of these have inconvenienced man, but in comparison to the destruction, overall very few lives have been lost. We truly believe we are living in these times.

Continuing with the Lord's prophesy, if you will, in St. Matthew 24, we have verses 9 and 10:

"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another."
What better evidence do we have of the hate that is being fomented by the left? They call anyone who speaks truth and biblical principles 'haters' if Christians are not tolerant of their deliberate offenses against God. Look at the sodomite-pedophilia agenda that has tried to marshal the media and infiltrate the conciliar church. Scandal has become commonplace, so much so that it is no longer scandalous. That in itself is scandalous. Imagine someone who fell asleep in the 1950's and woke up today, ala Rip Van Winkle of legendary lore. Do you think they'd be scandalized by what they see in society? Why then are we, who were weaned on family values and Catholic truth, not scandalized today by what is going on? Each of us must search our conscience as to whether we are closer to being heroes or zeroes. We can see how many are being put to death because of their Christian beliefs in Africa, Indonesia, the Philippines, Iraq, Egypt, and elsewhere throughout the Mideast. How soon do you think it will spread to Socialist Europe and then the United States and Canada?

And speaking of Europe, we have a hero in Father Rolf Lingen, an independent sedevacantist priest in Germany who has been hauled before the courts of the Federal Republic of Germany for the "crime" of sedevacantism. Yes, in this former nαzι stronghold that slaughtered so many innocents now anything goes except two things: Questioning the accuracy of the h0Ɩ0cαųst where not only Jєωs were murdered but many Catholics who refused to kowtow to der fuhrer, and believing that the throne of Peter is vacant. How dare this single priest try to upset the rotten applecart afloat on the barnacles of a fabricated craft that would replicate the Barque of Peter but but, in truth, was a Trojan Horse progressive pontoon that began its wretched regatta on the Rhine and then cruised south to pollute the Tiber and all rivers throughout the world since? How dare this single priest not offer one ounce of incense to the pagan protestant progressives, hellbent on Hegelianism. In the words of the Queen of Hearts Angela Merkel, "Off with his head!"

Right now Father is living on borrowed time before he's hauled before the court in September with the possibility of life imprisonment for not marching to the Marxist beat. He needs both our prayers and support by flooding FRG with petitions to prosecute real crimes, and lay off religious persecution which this definitely is. We urge you to go to our main page and link on to the sites listed to add your name and encouragement for this hero who so replicates the virtues and courage of the great martyrs of the Church from the early ones to the English Martyrs to the North American Martyrs. Who knows, if Germany follows through with this abomination of justice, each of us could be next. As dry martyrs all, we need to be ready to be red martyrs. Martyrdom? What is that crazy editor of the DailyCatholic talking about? Listen closely, folks. Don't think it can't happen? Just look at where the U.S. is today compared to a decade ago. As to why, St. Paul has the answer in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-11.

Because we have not been vigilant, we have allowed false prophets to have a voice. Consider our Lord's words in verses 11 and 12 of St. Matthew 24:

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall seduce many. And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold."

Has this not happened many times over? Look at the charlatan TV evangelists who have usurped the airwaves from the likes of Bishop Fulton Sheen who garnered great ratings during the golden age of television when families gathered together to watch a respected bishop with a flare for oratory and a blackboard speak simple Catholic truth. Look at the false prophets who have risen in the ranks of the conciliar church to twist Catholic truth in Hegelian terms where truth is relevant and 2+2=5. It's been that way from antipopes John 23 through Benedict 16. Don't look for the false church of Vatican II to save you even though they have seduced so many as Jesus foretold they would. Has charity grown cold? Just look at the civility in civilization today. It is filled with hate that is fueled by a hateful media who have forgotten their journalistic principles. Professionals today are professionals only in the monetary sense for they have lost their direction in trying to rationalize that the means justify the ends. The hate for Christians and what Chick-fil-A represents is a prime example of this by those who flaunt the tolerance of sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance.

But there is hope as Jesus tells us while having warned us of what Paul 6 would do by setting up "the abomination of desolation" with the Novus Ordo which infuses more in line with that than a new temple being set up in Jerusalem as Protestants interpret it.

"But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come. When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand."
Do we understand? We know that, thanks to Catholic missionaries' fruits over the centuries and today with instant technology, that the gospel has been preached in the whole world. But is it being heeded? Ah, there's the rub. Here in the United States we can see so many incidences where it has been twisted and altered to fit any agenda but God's. We can see so clearly the obvious bitter fruits of the bad tree that is Vatican II and know it is false and something to abhor. Why then are not all Catholics doing such? Perhaps they need to experience what Christ said comes next.

Man is a dense being. Blame it on his fallen human nature or his own stubbornness, but sometimes to learn from our mistakes we need to be hit over the head. Well, that is what is coming. Consider verses 17 to 25:

"Then they that are in Judea, let them flee to the mountains: And he that is on the housetop, let him not come down to take any thing out of his house: And he that is in the field, let him not go back to take his coat. And woe to them that are with child, and that give suck in those days. But pray that your flight be not in the winter, or on the sabbath. For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be. And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Behold I have told it to you, beforehand."

Not a pretty picture. Considering that this world, especially here in the major coastal cities of the U.S. not to omit the Twin Cities and Chicago are far worse than Sodom and Gomorrah ever were (can you say Frisco?) we shouldn't be surprised at anything that is in the future. Remember, we called this upon ourselves by not only commission of sin but also by our omission of not speaking out stronger against sin. Look at the great signs and wonders that the high tech age has wrought and see how many have been deceived. Yes, even the elect. Oh, definitely the elect. There remain but a remnant who truly see the whole picture and have connected the dots to realize the Barque of Peter has been without a skipper for well over fifty years now. We can only pray God will be merciful and allow enough time for souls to repent.

Yet for the vast majority, they will procrastinate and refuse to see the obvious, refuse to leave their comfort zones regardless how uncomfortable they might be. Perhaps it will not be until verses 26-30 are fulfilled that they will see the Light.

"If therefore they shall say to you: Behold he is in the desert, go ye not out: Behold he is in the closets, believe it not. For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be. Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the eagles also be gathered together. And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from Heaven, and the powers of Heaven shall be moved: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in Heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn: and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with much power and majesty."

It is evident that before Christ returns, there will be hell to go through. How many are prepared for the battle to end all battles? How many are prepared to lay down their lives for Jesus now, this moment? If not, what are you going to do to prepare? We cannot be assured we have time on our side. We cannot be assured any of us will be here tomorrow, let alone the next few minutes for God alone knows the time of each person's reckoning. No one else.

In part two next week, we'll show how the polarization of parties is way off the pole and there is a way to implode the pollsters and begin to bring this country toward the reality that folks will not be afraid to stand up for their convictions not just for a chicken sandwich but for Christ the King. In the meantime, even though God doesn't make junk, it's time for each of us to search our conscience and ask ourselves if, with our free will, whether we think God considers us Heroes or Zeroes?

    Michael Cain, editor, The DailyCatholic
"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world." Saint Thomas Aquinas the greatest Doctor of the Church
