Yeah it doesn't make sense. But I think there were other issues as well.

I thought he was ordained by +ABL, but surely it was an SSPX bishop.

Father is an exceptional priest. He gives educational sermons, exacting in his Mass rubrics and is a good confessor.

If you get a chance to go to his Redemptorist Mission, don't miss it.
