  • Nice.  Now maybe you'll show the video where the sun "looks" exactly like this, and then the camera zooms in on it and causes it to become fully visible (360 degrees around).

This is typical confirmation bias at work.  You see a picture that you think demonstrates your case and it's "proof", but then when FEs present pictures, videos, measurements that militate against (if not completely falsify) your dearly-held beliefs, then it MUST be caused by refraction or some atmospheric phenomenon.  It's interesting that refraction ONLY shows up when the FEs are attempting to make observations and is always a non-factor (disappears) when globers find a picture that they believe works in their favor.

If you tried to do just a bit of introspection, you'd be less prone to being brainwashed and duped.

First step (similar to an alcoholic recover program) is to examine yourself and admit that you're not actually considering the question with an open mind.

That's how it worked for me.  I was initially not in favor of FE, but in the interests of intellectual dishonestly I deliberately put aside my prior beliefs and felt that I needed to give their arguments a "fair shake".  Numerous prominent FEs started out as FE "debunkers" but then ended up "converted".

As I've said before, with only a few exceptions EVERY FLAT EARTH BELIEVER started out believing in the Globe.

Perhaps most of them never stopped to think about it much or look into it.

But it's not as though the average Flat Earthers was poorly and half-heartedly homeschooled by high school dropout parents (who might possibly be cousins or siblings), growing up in a trailer in rural Appalachia. And completely isolated from the world, of course: no TV, Internet, books, or outside influences.

I'm sure some rabid anti-Flat Earth youtubers would LIKE for that to be the case -- but it isn't. The FACT is that virtually all Flat Earthers know *more* about the "official Globe paradigm teachings" than the average person. This has been demonstrated many times to my satisfaction.

Most people are just -- ignorant. They don't know the circuмference of the earth, not even roughly. They don't know the supposed distance to the sun -- not even close. It's really bad. Their understanding of the "globe earth" comes from the simple propaganda they received in elementary school.

Columbus in 1492, ships sailing over the horizon, styrofoam models of the Solar System, and all that.

Public Schools have done their job, that's all I'm saying.

  • Ridding the self of the false philosophical premises inherent in modern cosmology (also the task of weeding out science from scientism) is necessary to begin the path of wisdom of how God REALLY has put forth Creation.

  • I'd like to see a ban on video and article spamming, when a poster is either too lazy or unable to make an argument for themselves and actually engage directly in argument with those who disagree with them.  I understand posting certain types of things for "library" purposes (such as ECs, etc.) as a starting point perhaps for subsequent discussion, but not with posting someone else's arguments in lieu of making your own.  Stop being so damn lazy and type out your OWN thoughts.  "Lover of Truth" used to engage in this tactic, as did "XavierSem" to a lesser extent.

If Quo wants to take a bit of time to actually articulate his own argument, then go for it ... but I'm sick of the pathetic lazy video / article spamming.

  • This is a fake image, can tell by the water, sun, sky etc. Looks very much like a video game image such as Unreal Engine 5. Definitely not a real image.

    God Bless
